i just started the game like 1 month ago and THIS IS MY KIND OF RPG!!! Button mashing with a slice of combos.. this game is So LONG i don't even know if i am even halfway yet.. one of the best games I've played on the PS2 next to Kingdom Hearts BUT THIS IS MY NUMBER 1 Spot Already!!
the Tales of Games are Really Good but saying it's better than any FF game is your opinion for me FF9 is better than this but thats cos i love FF9 so much but i'm getting this game when it comes out in the UK i wanna fight the Hardest boss in the Game on Unkown i don't care how many times i'm going to have 2 play through it but this will be my first Tales Game. I've Been watching PrinceBoo's LP of it. i've also asked for Tales of Smyphonia for Xmas

games where you can exceed lvl 99 is allways imbalanced due to High stats compared to the monsters and that's just lame as there's not difficulty playing at all
one of the best times in my life playing this game... it's so memorable. Now only lives on fanfiction net. Totally love ALL of the characters!!! (especially Jade, Guy, and Luke)
It's a game, however there was made an Anime afterwards, which pretty much sums up everything the main story of the game is about. But i sugguest playing the game, is it gives far more, and even though the game is a bit old, it's still one of the best RPG's i playd.
I just think its luke in asche's corpse *spoiler* since his body was disappearing he needed a new one, and the part where you can see asch's hand twitch was prolly luke beginning to use his body

For those watched the anime... does someone of you noticed that in the last episode when Luke has to free Lorelei with the dead body of Asch, he starts shining! and that happens only when they disappear and Asch's hand moves! then later Luke appears, but I have the doubt if it's him or Asch?!!! :D sorry for spoilers but is a doubt of me to fans of ToA
@ghdr77 I believe that they mixed together using hyperesonance. But it is definitly either Luke, or them mixed together. Note that Asch (SPOILER SPOILER) was already dead before Luke made the promise to Tear
This game was excellent in many ways when it came down to fighting monsters and bosses, plus it had tons of funny skits involved when came to the characters. Can't wait for the 3ds one to come out hope it as a different story and more new monsters. Tales of the abyss you guys ROCKED!!!
I've seen msot of the game right now. There was one spoiler for me, and I'm already looking forward to that moment. Noot that I like that character to be gotten rid of, but it should be a really cool scene.

Oh and by the way. Pretty much what made this game a REALLY great game was the ending. Not only was it anime but he also fused with Asch in the end and become one.
I actually don't hope there comes a second one, because if you played Tales of symphonia and look at the second one, they totally f*ucked the story. You only could play Emil and Marta and if you want to play some other character you had to change in battle! And besides the walk from town to town was f*cked up. Maybe this one could be different but because of that TOS2, TOS looks so different.... It's sooo sad... T_T This game is way too beautifull for that!!
@azxasin Ha! That would suck. Didn't you see how bad Tales of Symphonia 2 was? or maybe even games that aren't tales of series. like... FF tactics advance 2 or FFX-2 or stuff even saga frontier 2. Yes, I'm using Sqaure Soft and SE example but still. Plus, Only Symphonia deserved a part two cause it had enough for a part two. Two worlds and story having enough to continue to a second game but abyss completed and theirs not enough story to continue for a part 2.

No, they all have differnt stories. THere's ocaisionally a reference made such as the name of a weapon, or the ability to fight characters from other games in the collesium, but the storyline is completely different from game to game. ^^

No, they all have differnt stories. THere's ocaisionally a reference made such as the name of a weapon, or the ability to fight characters from other games in the collesium, but the storyline is completely different from game to game. ^^
