  • Just WOW! absolutely astonishing. I can't stop watching this lol, makes me want to own a Aprilia. I am a car guy, love to seeand hear Motorcycles , not drive them, after this I just might get a motorcycle:) if so, I'll be sure its a Aprilia!! I

  • I love the thought of having an Aprilia.. Soon, one day. <3

  • こんなPVは大好きだね!

  • If you look at 1:07 in the background you can see the Nissan GTR they used in their other video!

  • Soundtrack of this video is a plagiarism. People, let;s check Above & Beyond - Sun In Your Eyes...

  • @Piobuko Question is..which came first?

  • @Piobuko

Whos gonna sue them, you, dick head?!

  • @Piobuko

I prefer this music to the Sun in your Eyes track but because of your comment, I checked out Above & Beyond and I bought their album Group Therapy off iTunes. I'd advise anyone who is into chill music and light trance to check it out. It got great reviews and is beautiful

  • Anyone know where the footage of sonic boom at 2:06 came from?

  • HOW DOES THIS NOT HAVE MORE VIEWS?

  • Does anyone know what the music is called? i love this song!

  • What's the similarities between NASA & Aprilia? Neither have a parts department and their repair service sucks ass!

  • @TheOKTerrificable What's the difference between NASA & Aprilia? NASA has an excuse.

  • Fucking hell, this video was brilliant. *salute*

  • Ok, the bike totally smokes the shuttle on the 0-60 time.

Now, what about the 0-17,500 time, huh? Shuttle does that in 8 mins, 30 seconds.

:P I'm joking of course! Very nice video Aprilia!

  • Nice :-)

  • The song... /watch?v=O97gHH0faK4&

  • very cool video, especially as an engineer, to see the spec's compared like that. All comes down to 0-60 time (and the slightly more affordable option!)

  • @verrucktaxe After watching this video, especially as an engineer, i like to compare the spec's with an bobby car. All comes down to factor 10^6 to +infinity. (The car is even 17 million times cheaper!)

Dammit, why didn't NASA invest in the obvious!!!

  • The ninja 500 is quicker than the space shuttle, since this video likes to compare apples and oranges.

  • @MastaSquidge Don't you mean the space shuttle is faster than the ninja 500? PS - Ninja 500s are old, check out the Ninja -10R! They even have a -10R with ABS, which in my opinion is useless unless you just ride for joy and never race.

  • @iTheGeek No, I dont. The 500 does 0-60 faster than the space shuttle, which is what they are comparing this bike to.

I have a ZX-7R. A big, heavy monster of a bike that makes the newer supersports look like 10 speed bikes in relation to size. Yes its much slower, yes it handles much worse, but at least I dont look like I am riding a toy!

Plus its not exactly slow either, with people pulling high 10s with nothing more than sprockets.

  • @MastaSquidge A ZX-7R is slower and handles much worse than a 500? You're a fucken retard, only thing you should be riding is a Huffy.

  • @JungleListSoldier it was in comparison to the 10R which was suggested to me in another post. Are you fucking retarded? Did you miss the next line where I said it (the 7) is not exactly slow?

Before you start blasting out insults you might want to make sure you comprehend the statement. I wasn't talking to you, so get the facts.

  • @ myself:

It was in comparison to all of today's supersports, not just the 10R. Typed faster than I was thinking apparently... Today's 600s are faster than my 7.

  • @MastaSquidge Don't get all butthurt because you can't form your statements properly. There was nothing in your post about a 10r. Just the 500 so any reasonable person would think that is what you are comparing your 7r to. Besides the 10r has about decade and half of technology and development on the 750 so you still fail.

  • @JungleListSoldier Dont get all butthurt because I wasnt talking to you and you think you are a keyboard commando.

  • @JungleListSoldier No shit you stupid ass. Again you cant read, because I said "the 750 is slower, heavier, and doesnt handle as well" as the new supersports.

Stop being a typical ignorant youtube hero.

  • @MastaSquidge We already went over this squid boy, it was pointed out that YOU wrote your post wrong. Get over it. Now you are saying modern 600's are faster than a ZX-7r? Let's see:

    2011 Honda CBR600rr 0-60mph @ 3.3 sec with 161 MPH top speed

    2011 Suzuki GSXR600 0-60 @ 3.3 secs with 165 mph top speed

    2011 Yamaha R6 0-60 @ 3.4 secs with 164 mph top speed

    2011 Kawasaki ZX6-R 0-60 @ 3.3 secs with 164 mph top speed

    2003 ZX7-R 0-60 @ 3.3 secs with 168 mph Don't you ever get tired of failing?

  • @JungleListSoldier

You're a tool mate. Have you ever ridden the orig ZX7R? Its a BEAST of a thing, and made the GSXR750 look like a lithe ballet dancer. Further, the quarter mile time of the ZX7R is SLOWER than even perhaps among the weakest of the 600s, the Honda CBR600. Kawi - 1/4 mi in 11.1, CBR600 in 10.9. Only 2/10 but still quicker than the CBR600. You really like to pick fights for no reason dont u?

  • @StigRossi First off 0.2 of a second means nothing. Second, I was correcting squid boy who said "modern 600s are faster than a ZX7." That is clearly not true, they are the same acceleration wise and the 7 has a higher top speed. In fact I correct my previous spec, the 7 has a top speed of 171 not 168. Even further proving my point.. It's not that I like to pick fights but rather school know-it-all squids. Jack asses like him are the reason sport bike insurance rates are so high.

  • @JungleListSoldier

Dude you don't know how he rides and even if modern 600s are NO faster than a ZX7 they are apparently equal, thus not exactly demolishing his point jah?

Further if you want to see squids, you should come to Illinois, where idiots ride around on Honda FIreblades with no helmets, and US Marines ride around on stretched and nitrous'd Yamaha R6s (WTF?)

  • @JungleListSoldier

Glad to see u fecked off after i pwnd ya :) ;)

  • @StigRossi You didn't "pwn" anything Squid boy was dead wrong. And yes I did demolish his point because he clearly stated the 600s are faster. I don't back down when I know I'm right. Reason I did not respond to your post was because I value my time too much to argue with internet trolls.

  • @JungleListSoldier

I PROVED that modern 600s are marginally faster than 750s of days gone by. 0-60 is a meaningless marketing figure and means nothing. 0-100mph or 1/4 mile are much more relevant and FACT the ZX7R is slower than a brand new CBR6. So EPIC FAIL!

  • I believe the aprilia cube (ill-fated 3-cylinder beast MotoGP experiment) was the first with a ride-by-wire throttle system. remember colin edwards saying it was "impossible" to ride in any sort of manner.

having worked on the shuttle/for NASA, sad days have arrived in cape canaveral. shuttle was a child to us, and now, it's all going away.

  • Classy tribute, thanks Aprilia!

  • Cette video est tt simplement parfaite.....que l'on aime ou non Aprilia, elle est tres bien realisé ss pretention, juste 3'45" de plaisir...

  • Semplicemente magnifico.

  • Awesome

  • Love this video.. Theme is great but Hell yea to the Aprilia RSV4 and Max Biaggi!!

  • such a nice video, nicely made Aprilia

  • Greatest achievement of our time?

    Not even close!

The Apollo program easily eclipsed this orbiting blunder.

  • @EJ25RUN

Please provide any evidence of precisely what the American people have benefited from due to the shuttle program?

It is no secret the shuttle was nothing more than a excuse to be used as a live platform for the seeding of spy satellites.

"Many students at my university dreamed their whole lives to one day work for NASA. "

N...and now that it's over, where will they work.

FLA's economy will soon be devastated with the loss of thousands of jobs. Perhaps NASA can figure this one out?

  • @apetercharlesstudio Private companies are taking over the NASA program, this is knowledge a 4th grader can understand. Florida's economy has always been crap (however this has nothing to do with the NASA space program), the smart people will leave, the not-so-smart will stay and work on the new railroad system planned in Orlando.

  • Privileged to have seen a number of shuttle launches. One from the Titusville bridge in the day time, one from the Titusville pier at night, one from my school's campus 40 miles away, and one from a Cessna 172 at 2000ft.

The greatest achievement of our time. Good bye.

  • This video makes me care more about the shuttle than the bike.

  • what is the title of this music?

  • I like the music. It's so soft.

  • What a giant waste of money!

I loved space exploration for many years when NASA had focus and direction.

At over a BILLION bucks per launch, I and many have never seen nor reaped the rewards of this program.

Now it's over. The little elite family from FLA as well as all the sub contractors are out of a job.

Welcome back to the REAL earth NASA.

  • @apetercharlesstudio You have reaped many rewards. Nasa tech doesn't just lead to space travel. It improves the lives of many people.

Many students at my university dreamed their whole lives to one day work for NASA. The space program is the one thing America was respected for internationally. It is the mightiest symbol of this country.

  • Well, what about comparing top speed? :) And acceleration of Space Shuttle during final phase , just before separation... (speaking not of Saturn V 15 secs before first stage separation... haha)

  • The thump heard at 2:07 as the shuttle goes supersonic should have been delayed by a second or two, since light travels faster than sound.

  • Nice video. Does anyone know the name of the song.

  • Where is the music from?

  • What song is this? Amazing video, great music

  • @chadkdesign I was wondering the same thing. Above & Beyond have a track called Sun in your Eyes on their new album. It sounds very similar.

  • i have the rsv4r,so i love Aprilia

  • Great video, Aprilia USA. Thank you for producing a wonderful tribute to an engineering marvel. It's a great tragedy that space flight has come to a close; all we can do is hope this is simply a temporary pause in exploration and innovation.

  • Gives me the creeps...Incredible!

Amazing how MAN can do so incredible stuff...sometimes.

Respect to NASA and to all that made it happen. Long live to APRILIA!!

from a Aprilia RSV and Tuono user!

  • watching the shuttle take off still gives me goosebumbs!

  • I have the rsv4r. Its awesome!

  • WOW amazing video

  • aerospace engineers >>>> motorcycle engineers

either way, its a fantastic film

  • @karburized dude its a tribute video aprilia is showing there respects relax dude

  • @speednstyle really, they are not trying to sell a motorcycle? I mean throwing in the pricetag in there.

  • Sonic boom at 2:06? Amazing footage. I can't stop watching this video.

  • Amazing.

  • Beautiful bike but i wouldn't want it,too much tech on that thing,I don't want a bunch of computers, expensive complicated crap, too many things can go wrong and it makes the bike as easy to service for the average guy as the space shuttle,I don't enjoy forking over crazy money to technicians because the bike is too star trek.

  • @bru5520 The electronic aids mean you can go faster, safer. Going fast is usually the main draw for people who ride sportbikes...

  • @mugget -There are plenty of bikes with little or no tech crap that can go as fast or faster than the overcomplicated electronic bikes,I've ridden plenty of them safely and stable at speed up to 180mph,more electronics = more costly to maintain and more vulnerable to problems, like glitches, computer codes problems, tiny electronic parts that fail killing the bike in the process and countless other electronic problems.

  • @bru5520 True, but things likeTC & ABS mean that the average rider can more easily and safely use the speed of a modern bike. I used to be the same as you, my ideal car is still TVR (do they even use power steering yet?), but I have added a quickshifter and traction control to my K6 Gixxer, and it's great.

Yes that stuff is all more costly. But it's like someone once told me - "Speed costs money, son. How fast do you want to go?"

  • @mugget -All the tech crap should be optional on sportbikes.I'll stick to older bikes if all the new ones are gonna be stuffed with tech garbage,it's easy enough to modify an older bike to perform as well as a new one.

  • Cool vid.

Ugh, it would have been better without the bike in it. I mean really? Comparing a sports bike to a space shuttle? F**k outta here with that.

The Aprilia marketing dept needs to wise up, because their their "our bike vs their bike" ads are atrocious at the least. They are basically playing to the "other Italian bike company" fiddle of their own accord.

  • May I ask who did the music for this video? It's very touching.

  • What an emotional hijack, you could do the same with an iphone or a chainsaw. Leave the Shuttle alone corporations, you have their technology now stop stealing the images to sell stuff.

  • Great video guys. Well done Aprilia USA!

  • And both could be sidelined by a catastrophic failure at any moment but path to that failure is lined with unbridled bliss and pure insanity. 2008 SXV5.5 owner.

  • Beautiful.
