This is stupendous and just SO has to be released on DVD - it will forever be a regret that I didnt see it live! Without a doubt the very best I have heard on here! I am glad we have moved on from vinyl and tape - I listened so much would have worn it out by now!
My goodness, I have listened to this over and over since first hearing it. I love this so much! I am so lucky, on Jan 5 2012 I am going to see the LA Phil play this at the Walt Disney Hall! I cant wait, I have never heard the organ there and have always wanted to!. Hamori is a exquisite!
@kentrobertb I was there for the Friday 11 am concert. It was also my first time hearing that organ. The last chord was so loud, I think I'm still shaking from the vibrations. It was a great way to cap off my winter break.
I first heard this piece in early '82 and was fortunate enough to perform it during Spring of '89. The finale is one of my all-time favorite symphonic endings!
Thanks Roy for your compliments! This performance was broadcasted on hungarian TV, but not released on CD/DVD yet. But it's on Youtube!;) Thanks again! Mate
Fabulous performance of this grand Symphony # 3. Congrat's to the wonderful Zuglo Philharmonic Orchestra, organist Denes Harmath, pianists and the amazing conductor Mate Hamori who performed with not a single sheet of music before him. Standing ovation for all!! :o) Is this performance available on CD or DVD?
Eccellente!!!

Certainement une des meilleures versions que j'ai entendu depuis longtemps.
Tout y est, l'harmonie, la grandeur de cette symphonie est vraiment sublimée totalement dans cette interprétation.
