I didnt know BNSF pulls 500 car trains thats unheard, I mean how could they fit in a siding or something like that i have seen a NS freight pulling over 170 with a bout 6 C40-9ws but 500 cars. i mean shit thats lott
The lead engine is a GE ES44DC. Same HP output as a Dash-9 or an AC4400CW but with 12 cylinders as opposed to 16. Looks almost EXACTLY like an AC6000CW but with subtle differences to the long hood configuration. Biggest tell tale sign is the is listening to the horn. Kinda off tune, like someone blowing a trumpet with no musical background.
well i think its a AC6000, made by GE, produces about 6,000 horsepower, and max speed is limited more by the track speed limit than the loco, but id say about 80mph.
WTF? That was a GEVO/ES44DC and a AC4400CW. Both locomotives are 4,400 horsepower. The lead unit runs on DC traction and the second on AC. AC6000CW's are the 600-699 series, and the 5000-5016 series on CSX. Besides, a AC60 in YN3, that's VERY unheard of.
Italy's victory was so close though: if Zidane hadn't hit the Italian, France would almost certainly have won...
If you check out my profile you will see that my love for Germany is mainly the cars and the Wehrmacht. I feel ashamed that Italy dragged Germany down during the war...
Yes! Italy did beat Germany, but I love Germany so I would have loved a totaler Deutschland Seig: Is that how you say it lol? It would of shut the English up, thats for sure! But when Italy lifted the cup, for the first time in my life: You can imagine the shame at not being in Italy for the huge, nightlong street party! The one summer when I'm absent: and they win!
And yes: the Mafia, called the Camorra in Naples, is a huge menace. It is not like the films: It is very dangerous and dodgy. You cannot even say the word on the streets... Last year, 37 innocent people (14 children) were killed in crossfire...
Well, I am Italian, and I always visit my old uncle when I'm in Italy. He lives right above the Naples coastal railroute. I love watching the trains, but he tells me how the Mafia takes all the railway money, and leaves the railways in a mess. He told me German railways are very precise and strict, no nonsense, so I wondered whether your trains can safely be longer...
Why can't we have trains like this in the uk!!!? Small loading guage, years of political neglect etc. etc. ut it's getting better. Would love to see one of these for real - all pulled by 12 axels how does it do it!?
You have us beaten in the passenger department with Sir Richard Branson and the fabulous Virgin trains (so I've heard). Amtrak here in the U.S. is an utter disgrace.
That's what you'd think, but if the engineer put that train into emergency, it'd take on average 1/2 mile to stop or more, depending on speed and weight.
i found this hysterical...granted this was not an abnormally long train...though it was long...about a minute and a half in, i started lauging really hard...i don't know why...i think it was just that i was sitting there and thought...the end must be near...i see a bunch of empy cars so it has to be almost done...any day now...any day, but no...it just kept going and going and going and going (like the energizer bunny, only in train form)
I am offering money for railfan videos earn $5 to $40 just for recording trains, my website is www.alabamarailfan.com "requirments are or your $video$ is it your recording has to be still no shaking,no jokes, and in order to get money for it the lenght of your video has to be 8 to 10 min long, for more info visit my website. thanks

Thankyou, I understand now...
The German railfans should rally for the blocks to be increased to 3000m lol! But that would cause all sorts of problems...

I'm being a bit ignorant lol, but why must the train length not exceed the distance between signals?
It's probably really obvious lol...

it would take at least 5 miles to bring that train to a complete halt seeing as its doing about 70 mph with that load

I am surprized that people are surprized.
