I remember my second match I got to the modern area, I had been fighting with the Chinese since the 1300s, I kept getting sick of their shit so I figured I would rush my way to getting nuclear...

well later Gandhi declares war on me... I naturally don't care cause war with distant AI tend to lead to nothing... a few turns later a nuke comes plowing into one of my best cities and is taken via naval bombardment... India eventually won a tech victory later.

Love it - even bought the non-computer table board game. Can do forensic history re-writing very well. Ex-army officer myself (40 years ago), so testing if militarism is necessary for human life. Simulation conclusion, after many trial: no need for killing. Diplomats, spies, trade ... is ok.

@KravVolder in real life i know the nuclear missile is better, but on the game its different. The atomic Bomb gets more range to hit, but the nuclear missile gets 2 less tiles than the atomic. There is no damage count for either weapon

The Nuclear Missile has much higher power (100% death rate inside its explosion, it's capable of wiping cities off the map entirely, higher damage to cities when it doesn't 1 hit KO them), it only trades off 2 range. Which can be realistically explained by the fact that a large plane can fly further than a missile and to keep it from being an utter game breaker like ICBMs.

@swmaniac789 are you sure you played the game? Ive nuked over 30 cities and none of them got wiped off the map. Also the Atomic and the Nuclear missile both take off around 10points to cities. And the lower the Cities points the lower the damage :S.

@TrueWillz It might vary because of the random number generator; difficulty level. But at least according to the manual the Nuclear Missile is supposed to be more powerful; the only one that can destroy cities. It could also simply be a glitch. So far Civ V's shown to be full of them. Also: watch?v=J2EPChpdgHo&feature=re­lated is a video of a nuclear missile wiping out a city. Missiles only totally blow away a city when the city is very weak.

I have now played the game through twice with no crashes at all. One bug though, if you start constructing a spaceship-part, and cancel it (for making it in another town) you can never make it again, so going to space is no more an option to end the game.
