thanks for posting! i was so lost on this stage until i saw how you setup the base and cleared the line...once that was done, smooth sailing from there =)
so do you have an eye for this stuff or did you take some time to plan out your strategy? just wondering...
If you don't set things up just right, it's really easy to shoot yourself in the foot, so I have a (mostly) set plan for the beginning. I usually restart until I get the pieces I need pretty early. After that I play it by ear.
The strategy I used here is actually a little weak. Ideally I should fill the squares just outside the bottoms of the eyes; that'd make it easier to stack after the line clear. With that in mind, one could likely find a better strategy for setting up the line clear.
As a follow-up, the new strategy I described above works very well.
I try to set up the line clear with an O on the far left, an I to its right, a dark green block to the right of that, and a T on the far right. Make sure either the T or the O is the last one you drop; before you finish the line clear, use an S and Z to fill in the space below the eyes.
This setup makes it very easy to stack after the line clear. You can even start stacking on one side before the clear.

I am Bill from USA. :P This was my personal best at the time, but I've since tweaked my strategy and honed my execution.
Great job on the time, btw!
