Ended a bit abruptly! Was a half decent rendition as well. I like the look of that guitar. I'd like one that has no knobs or visible P/Ups. You alter volume and tone just by wiping the body. See through strings as well would be cool or ones that glowed blue.....yum
@zuubeddjp you gonna get in contact with a luthier and techie guys to maybe create such a beast?! Was just reacting to the guy that said your guitar was ugly. Love the minimalist Godin solution personally. Europa has been done to death over the years by guitarists but your rendition (very short one dammit!) sounds very fresh. Nice one bud..
@Rikk303 The guitar was made by Greg Back of Los Angeles. I'm not posting the website here, because some asshole will mark it as spam, but do a search on Google for Greg Back Guitars and you'll find his site where you can have him build you a custom guitar.
The Swart amp was modified by Roy Blankenship, as were Mike's tweed Fenders that are in hpmemade enclosures (by Greg Back, who also constructed Mike's guitar) so they would fit intp small boxes for transport.
Personally I think Mr. Thompson absolutely NAILED this tune. Just fantastic. Yes, that IS a Swart in the background there! What a tremendous TONE outta that little enclosure.
Its made by Greg Back .. Buzz's partner in his tuning system business .. you can see it on Greg's site . Buzz's is a joint creation between Buzz and John Carruthers - p/ups by Dimarzio

Nice rendition but I think a ukulele would kick ass through that amp set up.
I kinda miss the days when you had to rely more on your hands and less on $10,000 worth of amplifier.
Don't get me wrong, his hands are great too.

Well I guess that he needs that stuff to be able to get any tone in the studio. :)

I think he is going thru a rack before though.

sorry, I don't think Mike does anything great to this song, i guess too much studio can also hurt your soul too!

I agree to each his own-I do wish I could play a fraction as good as him-maybe if I buy a guitar like that I can? LOL

What is the little '50's tube amp behind Michael. If he's playing thru it, it sure sounds sweet!
revbeni 4 years ago
it looks like a champ 600. I could be totally wrong though, I can't imagine him playing through one of those. Maybe it's a swart.

What is the name of the song? Reminds me very much of Parisienne Walkways by Gary Moore.
