Blink 182 and Muse are 2 different bands. Different styles, different sound. Yes, they have a song of the same name, but they sound completely different. I happen to like the Blink 182 song better, because I'm a bigger Blink fan. Muse still kicks so much ass it's not even funny. Sure, maybe they play more complicated guitar stuff, or at least more complicated sounding, but how do you judge which band is better? What's the scale you measure that by? If Muse is better than Blink because they play more complicated stuff than bands like Metallica, Blessthefall, The Word Alive, As I Lay Dying, etc. are all better than Muse, because they play MUCH more complicated stuff.
@OrbitalPatrol I think the guy's measuring on talent. I grew up with blink as my favourite band, now it's muse. The thing is, Muse has won a lot of awards (Even a Grammy) because they do have a lot of talent and creativity. Not saying blink doesn't, but it doesn't take nearly as much work to make punk-rock. So technically, muse is a better band in terms of music making, but anyone can have any opinion on the best band, so I think they're both great, just muse writes and plays "better" music.

@megachiby Look, I won't deny that Muse is a good band, but they're not better than Blink. Sure, maybe they play more complicated guitar stuff, or at least more complicated sounding, but how do you judge which band is better? What's the scale you measure that by? If Muse is better than Blink because they play more complicated stuff than bands like Metallica, Blessthefall, The Word Alive, As I Lay Dying, etc. are all better than Muse, because they play MUCH more complicated stuff.

@OrbitalPatrol I think the guy's measuring on talent. I grew up with blink as my favourite band, now it's muse. The thing is, Muse has won a lot of awards (Even a Grammy) because they do have a lot of talent and creativity. Not saying blink doesn't, but it doesn't take nearly as much work to make punk-rock. So technically, muse is a better band in terms of music making, but anyone can have any opinion on the best band, so I think they're both great, just muse writes and plays "better" music.

The only time they've changed is their last album which sounds exactly like A&A. I don't think you have a clue what you're talking about. Muse have gone from acoustic/metal to nu-metal to pop/rock to SPACE rock to electronic rock. You clearly know nothing about Muse otherwise you wouldn't have written your stupid, misinformed comment.

And you can also see Muse live and have a better experience hence why they're known as one of the best live bands in the world. The quality quantity thing makes no sense, Muse and Blink have released roughly the same number of songs and Muse always make quality music, I've never seen a bad review of any of their stuff, whereas blinks new album got shot out the sky with bad reviews.
