  • Hi there, what´s the usual max load factor your reach during your practice?? Regards

  • No, I typically do not have to add forward stick. I do "Bob Hoover" rolls which is where you should be at 1 g in your seat the entire time. I dive for 150 mph (the 120 in the book is a little slow), pitch up 20 degrees above the horizon, neutralize the stick and apply full aileron in the direction of the roll. You just let the nose fall thru as it likes. The 150 entry might help you end up less nose low. Let me know how it works!!

  • hey i got a ? for ya did you have to add forward pressure on the stick during your aileron rolls, cause i got a 7gcbc and if i dont add a little bit of forward stick while im inverted i come out really nose low

  • Ha i had the same idea about mounting my go pro on the brim of my baseball hat, but then i saw you can just by a head strap for $15 lol. I'll be sure to put up a vid soon but really nice work with yours, Keep flying!

  • Thanks. This is actually a point and shoot Cannon ELF camera zip tied to the brim of a baseball hat. I like that the camera follows where the pilot si looking, but it slightly difficult to operate because you have to take the hat off to make sure you hit record.

  • Great video, great routine! What video camera did you use?

  • Nice! I found a flight school nearby that offers aerobatics in a Citabria & plan on getting started on that after I get my spin endorsement. Looks like a blast. I see you did: -Loop -Aileron roll -Hammerhead -Another aileron roll -Another loop -Not sure what you call what you did at 2:06...like a hammerhead, but you rolled over -Then again Lost track after that...Nice work! What all are Citabrias rated to? And did you strap your camera to your head? -Then an immelman -Again -Hammerhead
  • @HHSFHarry , The Citabria is rated to +5 and -2 (should be marked on the G-meter). At 2:06 I did a reverse Cuban 8 Citabria Style. I pitch up to what I think is 45 degrees. Let the airspeed blead of, do a half roll to inverted, and then recover with a little more than 1/2 of a loop. When you put 2 of those together, it looks like an 8 in the sky. I drillled 4 holes in the brim of a baseball cap and tie wrapped my digital camera to it to shoot this video. The Citabria is a blast to fly!!

  • beautiful smooth aeros! well done!!

  • Loved the stall warning..

  • HOLY SHIT!! TURN AND BURN BROTHA!! you were in the zone. I've been crankin a 65' Citabria 100hp for 16 years now. what you did would have taken me all day. WEEEEEEEOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

  • Very nice work! Looks like you're coming along nicely. How long have you been at it?

  • Used to fly the Zlin 1-2 times a month, but not anymore. The owner had a very bad accident and the Zlin was totally destyroyed. I loved your 7ECA flight! Hopefully I'll have my own 40-year-old 7ECA flying this year, but it's only 115Hp... so, I'll be loosing much more altitude than you... Keep on posting nice aerobatics videos! Did you see Koontz video at Sun&Fun with the SuperD ? Amazing!!!

  • Nice work! Minimal altitude loss!! What a great job! Is it a 115Hp 7ECA?

  • Thank you for the positive words! The Citabria I fly is a 7ECA, but it is modified with a 150 hp O-320. Do you fly the Zlin often? In competition?
