When will people realize that if you were not BORN in Africa and now are an American, you are NOT an African-American? You are an American as is Obama. Stop hyphenating your heritage.
I suppose when Condi became (I believe) the highest ranking black female in US government that wasn't a sign to her that racism was dwindling in America....
I think it's nice that the election showed race wouldn't get in the way - but that was not the point of the election. It was to vote for the best candidate and if they happen to be black - that's a nice bonus...but should not be relevant to the reason for voting.

U just compared apples & oranges, Rice became secretary of State based on decisions made by 2 people, herself and George Bush, hardly a representation of the country as a whole. She was not voted into office, hence her stature as secretary of state was not an indication about racism dwindling. Obama was elected by THE PEOPLE, Millions of Americans. It certainly speaks volumes.
Fantastic video !! Another republican truly touched by Obama's election. Some hour ago I saw Colin Powell at CNN with the same energy, commenting on Obama's victory... it's nice the fact they don't try to pretend any other feeling, and just let the emotions rule.
Congratulation, US !! Good luck on this new journey.
For more on Dr. Rice see my video "Condi Lied Under Oath to the 9/11 Widows"
