The saluting of the fans is beautiful. Some US college teams are doing it also. I wish the Wings would do something like that, oh well. This is just another example of what makes hockey a great sport (along with the handshakes after a playoff series).
That's a shame. It seems like the crowd liked it and it would challenge the notion that the players really don't care about the fans. I hate the uptightness and lack of crowd awareness that Canadian hockey players too often show.

The Rangers started doing it last year, I think. When Lundqvist came over. It's a little salute to the crowd they do when they win.
