I think the thing about the Doctor is this: he's always in the middle of everything, and he brings our the very best or the very worst in people. Rory says it in series 5 and so did Martha in series 4; he makes people want to be brave, to do something good, they don't want to let him down, but as he is that powerful light, if you get too close, you might just be burned, especially after he lost Rose, when I think he started to grow reckless sometimes.

Moffat did great episodes in the RTD era. but now? a floating spiky eye? That is childish. And daleks like Teletubbies? i prefered the old.. Did nobody see Turn Left? The disaster and loss of life there would have been if the Doctor had drowned in the Thames that Christmas? There are times, believe it or not, in the series where everybody lives.

Well the doctor does what he does for the greater good essentialy most of the people died in his name to save a thousand other people or even to save just a couple more lives so it is worth it for them.

All the script writers and David do such a good job with every episode that they make you forget about the death and destruction the Doctor always leaves behind... this was really well done!!

This is perfect, the way it rips into your chest pulls out your heart while causing your tear ducts to flood ... it captures all the pain and suffering of journeys end in one magnificently depressing moment. I give it 6 stars (because 5 stars aren't good enough for this video).
