I'm getting a pole. Have some videos of me dancing- currently a size 18 /20 and dancing to get fit and lose weight. Going to invest in a pole for sure xxx
Pole dance fitness is interpreted by so many now, that naturally, moves will be called a variety of names. All the more rich fabric for the newest worldwide industry, thanks to Sheila Kelley, founder of pole dance fitness.
Every studio has different names for moves, i learned this one as the martini spin although it is a variation of the fireman spin. this one you just put one leg straight out. There is also the french fireman, standing fireman ect.. lots of variations on moves :)
@MickScarborough there are actually, poledancing competitions and classes aren't there to be slutty but to show off incredibly difficult and adventurous techniques. Its great fun and intense exercise, strippers and whores just give it a VERY bad image.
@DancerYaz This is random but it does seem like learning to pole dance would be just a fun thing to do and make would also make you feel a little sexier :)
I know! It needs some examination. I'm a stripper and I would NOT get on a pole like that. It's also a fixed pole; I hate those. The spinning poles allow for much flashier stuff with more speed.
There are a lot of places that sell them. Some adult stores will, Spencer's usually has them for around $100 or so. Try to get one that anchors in the ceiling, though; they'll be more stable and probably taller. The poles we have at work spin and they're about 25 feet tall. They're fantastic. I'm sure you can also find them online.
I do poledancing, its not THAT hard... plus you only hurt your hands when you go on for too long. I do poledancing for about 2 hours a week. I make sure my hands get enough rest inbetween practices. then its fine
I think it's supported high in the ceiling rather than pressured like at home. But yeah that would scare me if it wobbled even if it was supported I'd still get nervous
Wow, this one looks great and I cant wait to get over my flu and try it, I love this instructor and have subscribed. Thank you for the great lessons and keep them coming! GREAT!!
thanks for the great instruction, but the first time I heard that pole groaning and squeeking, my heart was doing flutters... glad mine doesn't do that!
thats not a martini, thats a fireman with a straightened leg.

She makes it look easy but the pole is rude... I was scared it was going to break... they should have that checked!

OMG that pole looks like it's going to crash down. Too bad, because the instructor is actually very good, the scary pole is distracting.

@tallkate7 Nah, poles tend to do that when they're warm (like getting warped)
