So my boyfriend gave me an orchid plant and the flowers it came with already fell off. Do I have to cut the little branch or whatever is call all the way to the bottom where the leaves stops ?

@TheAllymichelle go to orchidboard (google it). Post a pic then read about your orchid specie. And do not cut anything before that... (no this is not spam i just like the forum...)

Orchid is a special flower from the experience I have and require a stimulation despite a healthy plant. I am not sure how the other country grow the flower, but in Malaysia climax, you have to understand each species stimulation requirement particularly on the species . A basic rule of thumb is a drop in day and night temperature which could be stimulate by air-conditioner in orchid commercial. Not sure if anybody could agree with this. Hunting is more fun than planting thought.

How big do orchids grow? Can they be attached to a larger plant to grow in a controlled environment like a terrarium to simulate their wild growth instead of potting them? I loved your presentation!

I have one orchid at my home that I got from a gift few years back and I don't have any idea what kind is it and how to replant it....I don't want to kill it if I decide to put in in a bigger pot or devided, because I see roots every where....I looked so many videos in here and I can't find the type of my orchid at all.....can you please help me ? thanks
