@radiostern problem is, i can't find that script anymore. there is an older version (written with AvsP) that somehow doesn't work anymore (and is really very inelegant btw) so just to get an ideamegaupload

to smooth things, you can use mvflowfps to increase the framerate by interpolation of the motion vectors, there is an example script for that on the mvtools website. hope that helps a bit

I found your Video here because I work on a student project with the same technique.

I did my slitscan with After Effects but even when I tried different ways to do it, my slitscan has hard stairs and is not so soft like yours. So I installed avisynth and tried to work with mvtools/mvflowfps. But it seems to be very complicated for me.

So I ask you if you could send me a code or at least a hint how I can do such soft slitscans.

It would be a great help for me!
