i remember listening to this song on triple j hottest 100 on the way to work with my dad when i was about 10. it was an hour drive and i'd have it on repeat the entire way!
@Jay4P I think you'll find Spiderbait were around LONG before the Vines, Spiderbait started in 1989....and lots of their songs are pretty much like one...they were and are a very influential Aussie band and this Song was one of the defining songs of 90's Australian rock...give it up mate, the Vines sound like Spiderbait not the other way round
@Disjecta71 yanks didnt invent RnR lol technically nobody did cause it was just a tweak on the guitars style of build that made rock music. not yanks. The USA did..

I like these guys, they're fun. If you want something harder and more kick-ass check out The Scientists (esp. Swamp Land), The Limespiders (esp. Slave Girl), Beasts of Bourbon and Celibate Rifles
Worth looking up the lyrics - they are brilliant - it's about a young band being taken up by record industry types and how they are chewed up and spat out by the business. It's awesome
A Phenomenal celebration of being alive. Love it!

I think it's an excellent APPEAL to the ego.
(& to get ready for dirty tricks as a part of the deal.) Without that need to exist as a strong example in time
- Oil paint would never have had have a purpose.

This video pretty much sums up living in Australia in the 90s. Beautiful.
trukrump 11 months ago
@trukrump I don't agree with that. It's about the Industry.
batlik99 10 months ago
@batlik99 Yeah it does, mainly the song, but the video itself is full of sun, pools, mischief, people playing on lawns, rollerblading etc.
That's all I remember from the 90s

I guess I didn't realize music was divided by nationality...Good music is good music. Doesn't matter where the band members are from.
