Nice playing man. May I ask what you're using the Blue Spark on? I'm thinking about buying one to use for various percussion instruments (djembes, shakers, tambourines etc...) in a live setting. A friend of mine who owns a studio and uses them suggested it. What are your thoughts about it?

In this recording I have the spark behind me and up about a foot higher than ear level when sitting down and since I don't have tom mics it just picks up the toms a little better than the 2 over heads do and gives a little more umpf. I mostly use it in my vocal booth and the sound quality that comes out of it is incredible. If you're looking to use it for percussion I wouldn't recommend it. You'd want something a little brighter. But you can't beat it for vocals for $200
