When he says "cock" he's referring to cocking the stick like you would cock a gun. It has nothing to do with 5-holes or crotches. Clearly, you didn't understand and made it into a juvenile joke, but the use of "cock shot" is appropriate to describe the move. Get a dictionary.

1st of all ur using ovechkin. EA put his skills all the way up so even if its not a realistic shot it still might go in cuz his skill are high up already. thats what i hate, yea hes an amazing player but when im playing D and he comes up and i go down for a pass block and the puck those thru my stick (happens ALOTTTT) it makes me want to take the game out and snap the peice of shit in half. the game looks great yeah and good features but has wayyyyyyyyyyy too many glitches its sad

I have a question about the way u shoot in this game. Im new to series on the 360 since my last NHL game was NHL 05' on PS2. When I try to aim the shot to a certain area with the left stick, either the puck hits the side of the rink missing terribly or it goes over the net completely. and sometimes it goes directly to the goalies chest resulting in a face off. can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong. I'm following the directions that the shooting tutorial gave me. please respond

I like to use one-timers from the point (playing with Brandon I have some firepower back there) aiming low and looking for rebounds, deflections or screens. There are a number of things that bug me about this game but the best thing about this game and the one thing that really sets this game apart is that there are MANY different ways to score in NHL 11.

And I also got a goal or two in that mode so I'm happy. I like the quote "Sometimes the goalies are... god" because me and my friend were playing against this guy who was Montreal. He had 8 shots 2 goals and we had 58 shots with 2 goals as well. and then it went into overtime and we FINALLY won. but it took us 64 shots. but great vid, and this is coming from a guy who is ranked 483rd in the world. any suggestions on scoring during regular gameplay as in settled offense?

@896DC It depends on what game mode your playing on. If your playing offline or online, and if your playing "Be a pro" mode. I personally like to set my team strategy to Overload. Don't force passes that aren't there. The easiest way that I find to score in any mode is the One timer. Passing this year is difficult and they made it alot harder to get one timers through the crease, but try holding the pass button longer and firing it in there. Always aim top slot.
