I grew up in Australia and I wasnt bitten by anything worse that a redback, my family pet is a dingo and my favorite food is kangaroo meat. I now live in Europ and Iv had 3 near death experiences in the past 2 years... compared to here Aussie is safe!

You mean the spikey thing? An Echidna, a mammal belonging to the Order: Monotremata ie monotremes, egg laying, milk producing (mammal bit) animals. @ 1:00 (underwater) is a Platypus, same deal (a monotreme) ... males have poisonous spurs on their hind feet, very cute though. Also, if a blue-ringed octopus bites you and no-one is around to breathe for you, you'll "cark it" (die) in approx 4 mins flat ... trick is, they are inconspicuous (not neon-blue) until just before they bite.
