  • Hey can someone pls tell me what's the name of the song in the first three seconds ?

  • @gold4boy Moby - Run On

  • got same heads and drums

  • Comment removed

  • Dude, you desperately need to tune that snare. Not trying to sound like a dick or anything, just giving some advice, that needs to be tuned to a higher level, trust me it sounds waaaaaay better.

  • can u use batter heads as resonant

  • @boxstringmusic

I tried it before, sounded dead.

  • @boxstringmusic Well, you can, I currently have demo ambassadors as my resonant heads, and they can be considered batter heads, really any thin head will work as a resonant head. You wouldn't want to use pinstripes or something thick as a resonant head.

  • hey man good drumming! your snare sounds like shit tho lol. but still man good job

  • If you play the snare with your right hand and i hat with yourleft does that mean you cross arms when you reach ovver to the ride to keep the same pattern? retarded drumming style

  • @ransco1000 I keep them the same, it's called playing open handed, makes a lot of sense, it means I can play a regular kit without having to reverse it like many left handed drummers have to.

  • @ransco1000 lmao you're such a dumbass. open handed playing. very common. some of the best drummers in the world play like this...

  • @ransco1000 do you not see the ride right next to the hi hat? on the LEFT? retarded commenter.

  • hows that coated controlled sound?

  • so are they all coated remo on top, whats on bottom?

  • @acdcjonnyboy At this point they were the stock remo mapex heads. Now I have coated pinstripes on top, and ive put the coated emperors as my resonant heads.

  • @PineyplayParadiddles cool thanks! :)

  • @MrBassfanatic Mapex M-Birch in black forest cherry.

  • hi, is the snare head the same as the one with the black dot buth this in white? thanks

  • @gastonbarker LOL.... NO

  • awesome!!! but muffle your snare a little bit, just a little bit because it has too much overtones.

  • dude u sound like joey jordinson, ur brutal! what kit is that?

  • your a great player and your young, you seem to have alot of down pat work on your groove :)

  • @dingdingbong1 Ive been working on my technique and speed for double on my single pedal and can now do it with ease

  • what drum is to the left of you? marching snare?

  • @LTLfilms 16"x16" floor tom.

  • @PineyplayParadiddles he said left haHAHA NOT RIGHT ~~~!

  • @ramonbunny69 on the right i have my 14"x14" floor tom. Haha I thought I was going mad for a minute there.

  • real drum don't need micing and your sure don't they sound awesome just the way they are!

  • Watching you play reminded me of myself. Haha. Like your interpretation of the fills you use is similar to what I play. Nice set!

  • Do heads matter when the toms ring is it te drum or te heads?

  • nice fucking set

  • i prefer remo pinstripe snare heads

  • seriously nice looking and sounding kit! What head have you on the bass?

  • @MikeHodd Evans EMAD, sorry bout the late response

  • @PineyplayParadiddles what kind of tom stand or stands do you have? your toms are placed how i like them

  • Sorry man, Evans all the way.

  • did u tuned ur drum or some one just did it for u ? if u did it, please tell me some tips about how to tune my toms like urs

  • @441greenleaf i tune them by finger tightening them all until i have to use to drum key, i turn each lug twice, then loosen my rack toms quarter of a turn, and my floor toms an eighth of a turn to keep my floor toms punchy. The same for the reso side

  • @PineyplayParadiddles yeah man thats similar to how i tune mine. always finger tighten first so you have something close to even to start with.

  • @PineyplayParadiddles when you say turn twice, do u mean 2 full turns or 2 half turns?

  • Nice free hand grooves, not too big on the fills, I'd maybe try to spice it up with something other than 2 under 2, maybe also something other than just single stroke, but definitely cool to see someone working that open hand and keeping the tempo solid. Props.

  • lefties rule, man! keep it up! slowly but surely, lefties will take over drumming nation

  • very good

  • how is that snare head? i might get one, and the toms to. does the coating wear off at all?

  • the coating stays on really nicely!

  • Are those fills just doubles over doubles?

  • yeah, just two on the bass drum, two on the toms

  • siiick fills! btw are you left handed? noticed you hit the hi hat that way so im curious...

  • wait nvm i feel stupid, just learned about how open handed drumming works. cool as hell tho

  • fuck yeah open handed FTW

  • wat kinda set is tht ?

  • very very good! nice drum fills

  • on a scale of 1 to ten how good are they ive just ordered my mate some coated emperors with an ambasador snare head

  • sounds great

  • Good drumming. 0.58 cracks me up though.... Air drumming!!

  • way to represent the open handed drummers.

  • cheers bro

  • woooo mapex!!!

  • What kinda set is that? im looking for a set. I think i might get a gretsch but idk

  • looks like mapex m birch great sound i was thinking of putting these heads or vintage emporers on my Pro m's thanks for posting!

  • Yeah its a Mapex M-Birch, theyre no linger made but the new Mapex Meridian series are incredibly good value and come in top notch finishes.

  • Other than maybe tuning your snare. I think it's fine. nice

  • I know, I can do it with the one pedal, I just lack the power but I keep practising using the slide technique.

  • That closest Sabian gave me a headache!

  • probably because sabians suck

  • Kindly justify your comment or I'll delete it for being twattish.

  • BTW i think ur playint is great

  • cashmerestaten Fuck off you shithead!!!!!!!!! you are a fuckin twat sayin that!!! And just what in god's name do you play you dumb FUCK!

  • how do you have your toms tuned? like how tight?

  • I have them around medium tenison, when I tune them, I take each lug up a quarter turn at a time until the head sounds quite punchy, then i do the same with my reso heads, I dont have my resos tighter or looser than the batter heads like some people do.

  • ah ok then thanks!

  • can i just ask what u put as the resonant/heads ? cause i plan on upgrading my heads to remo emperor as well but i dont know what to put on the bottom as i hear its important to the sound as well

  • I still have the stock clear heads on the resonant side because I dont have the money to replace them at the moment.

  • maybe a clear ambassador or diplomat.

  • same heads I use but I like using evans hydraulics for my snare

  • i know this is of a camera but your digi cam wont record sounds that arent there, youre snare probs is that ringy it just doesnt sound it up that close when your playing, however i cant really criticise cause my whole kit is a pile of shit and sounds dreadful.

  • RINGY ISN'T BAD!

  • Sounds great. The Remo Controlled Sound sounds great on the snare. A bit ringy for me, but it's all personal preference. The Coated Emperors sound fantastic, too.

  • u should put moongels on your snare drum

  • I do have moongels that I sometimes use but I like a bit of ring, but like I said before it isnt as prominent in person.

  • what are the best heads??

  • There really are no 'best' heads, just onesd that suit a musical situation. Do some research and you'll find the best heads suited to your style of playing.

  • The sound isnt perfect as its filmed on a digital camera, and I have no mics. The ring isn't as prominent in reality, though you need some ring to cut through, I dont like the sound of a really dry, dampened drum.

  • st. anger....

  • oh, one more ?,

how do you get your toms to sound like that, they're frekin incredible

  • I use a torque key to make tuning way faster, though I can still tune with an ordinary drum key. I tighten the lugs until there is a bit of ring, then detune each lug by a quarter turn. Then I do the same to the reso head, I like both heads on my toms to be equally tuned, so they resonate in sync. They sound nice, warm and not too slappy with nice rebound.

  • yes its possible.

  • is it possible to use clear heads on the bottoms?

  • Yeah

to get a sound that`s betweel coated and clear

    Lars Ulrich from Metallica does

  • use clear diplomats.

  • ive always wanted to know this

whats the diffrence between g2's and emperors because ive got g2's on my toms and just wanted to know

  • Different companies, they're both 2 ply but the Evans heads have a pre-formed square collar round the edge that supposedly make the head fit to the shell better. Remo use a rounded collar.

  • which would you recomend

  • I chose Remo because I prefer the sound of the emperors but they both sound really good, and the Evans coating is far more durable, and people have said that Evans has better quality control. Its just preference, every company has a bad batch here and there, and they'll often replace faulty heads. Whichever you choose they will sound great.

  • I am sry 'bout your toe...When you are able to play that, upload. I'l be checking your videos. Cheers

  • is there maybe on Youtube any lesson how to do that thing that he first played,on beginning?

  • I can post one if you like, subscribe and ill upload onw ASAP, just bear with me because Ive broken my toe and cant play double bass easily at the mo.

  • dude put some tape on ur cymbals.

    they last way to long.

a bit of gay advise that u proberbly knew

  • which one you guys think is better 4 rock?the

    Remo clear emperor's???

    or

    Evans EC2 Clear???

  • Personally I would choose the clear emperors, because I've heard that the EC2's can sound a bit dead. But it really comes down to what sound you're after, and many drummers swear by EC2's for rock. I just play different styles so I'd choose emperors.

  • i agree. clear emps are good. i've played both and really i think that the Ec2s sound good right out of the box but after about 3 hours of playing i find the sound just gets dead and bleh. the emps are very consistent

  • what do you think of remo vs evans? i personally like evans much more, but thats just me!

  • I prefer remo, though evans has better quality control and a more durable coating. I just prefer the sound of remo heads, though I do use an evans emad on my kick.

  • personally i hate people hu play left hand on hi hat

  • If youdont like it why do you take time to watch it and post a pointless comment?

  • honor thy father intro?

  • The first part of the Honor thy father intro is the same, but the second part is different.

  • ok so vintage emps batter and emp black suede on toms. black suede powerstroke both sides of bd. mahogany shells. what do you guys think? i'm thinking of buying this combo

  • sounds pretty good, are you using the black suedes on your toms as the resonant head?

  • yup

  • Hey, what do you recommend more? Remo Coated Emperors on toms or Remo Coated Ambassadors? Thanks.

  • Emperors for rock and pop stuff because they have a more focused sound and are more durable. Ambassadors for lighter playing as they are less durable and have a more open sound.

  • Seriously man, that snare sounds FRICKIN' BADASS with the excess ring....I'm jealous. Sooooo much angst.

  • emperors sound amazing, i use them myself...and they look awesome too

  • what do you suggest in toms ? Remo Pinstripe or Remo Emperor? Because im replacing my Evans Ec2 head . and for the snare , Remo Controlled Sound , Evans Reverse Dot , Remo Emperor ?

  • I prefer the tone of emperors, pinstripes sound a bit muffled to be, but it depends on what sound you want.

Snare wise, my old snare head was an Evans reverse dot, but I far prefer the sound of the Controlled Sound. The emperor is a nice snare head, like an ambassador but more durable, and brighter. Its just as responsive imo.

  • Ur not famous... Why?

  • actually the emperor is less crisp and bright than an ambassador on snare. I like emperors on toms because they project more than pinstripes and I like a powerstroke 3 on my kick

  • I always understood that a two ply head was brighter, whereas a single ply head has a more open tone?

  • if that is what you hear then i guess you are correct. but the way many drummers describe it, is 2 ply heds are deeper and less crisp. 1 ply are bright and open.

  • awesome!!!!

  • Thanks mate!
