Tea is too strong, didn't leave the bag in long enough, that's the weirdest shaped teaspoon i have ever seen.....and you stir your tea the wrong way :)
You should learn about loose-leaf tea. The best cup of tea is made from loose-leaf tea (not bags), simmered for a few minutes in steaming hot water just off the boil. Stir the leaves a bit, then simply strain the tea through a tight-meshed strainer into a pot or even directly to a cup, and you've got a great cup of tea.
Kusmi Russian teas are my favorite, but there are many types of excellent loose leaf teas available - black, green, etc. But the important thing is USE LOOSE LEAF TEA!!!
uh what. way to make a stereotype of us all by making a 5 minute video on how to make a "proper" version on what is essentially a teabag, water and milk. everyone knows how to make a cuppa and im failing to see the point in this, even if its attempting to be funny.
ah the classic "my friend" argument. to be honest i really dont care and if you're concentrating on that part of my comment, you're severely missing the point
Oh so many mistakes - no pot, a coffee mug instead of a cup, I could go on. Historically milk was originally added not because our cups were crap, it's because our china was so super fine the heat would crack them.
Shame on you - teaching those Americans how to make working class tea.
wow lol, still not as much as my uncle, my uncle has about 30 - 40 cups a day. he doesn't have a job because he is not in a good physical condition that is why he has time to drink that much :)
real bristh tea DOSE NOT HAVE SUGAR in it that is just sick.Second thing you didnt use a teaport so you didnt make a british cup of tea did u. The only thing you got right was the PG TIPS lol.
if that's a proper british cuppa tea then why is it in a starbucks mug??? Starbucks is a big american company-trying to take over the world of tea-us tea lovera won't let them am I right? Stand up for tea's rights don't let starbucks get in the way!!! tetley for life!!! (although I wouldn't say no to a tall mocha frappuccino...)
wtf u dont put sugar ina cup of tea u put salt ffs and u dont use tea bags u use coffee beans (niggers)ahh the joy of niggers makin coffee beans and tea bags
Not to be supercillious but Earl Greay isn't a branc as opposed to PG Tips. PG Tips is ceylon black tea. Earl Grey is black tea with bergamot. I'm a tea buff I know...
NO No No!I'm an American and you MUST use a tea pot to make it a proper tea!Where is your brown Betty~your tea strainer~ your loose tea? Yes, we get those very same cookies in America. I just bought the very same ones that you have just yesterday. Isn't that cup called a beaker? you're cute!
I think I once saw Orson Welles presenting a short film on how to make a cup of tea. I could be mistaken.. but as I recall it, he was in a mock up of a trench in WWI and his method went a bit like this
- Boil Fresh Water
- Warm Teapot
- Add boiling water to Teapot
- Add tea (one bag/spoon if loose per cup)
- Leave for one minute
- Pour into cup
- Add sugar to taste before adding milk so the sugar dissolves more ceompletely before the tea is cooled by the milk
Not being stuck up but you did it the wrong way. Why did you add your sugar while the tea bag is still in there? The bag will absorb some of your expensive sugar before you throw it away; it's like throwing away money. I'm an American and even I knew that. Also I didn't like how you put too much hot water in there. I always keep more space below the rim of the cup so tea is less likely to spill out making a mess in the apartment. It's like keeping a space cushion in front of your car.
Good grief, I thought the Brits would preserve the custom of loose tea in the pot. I get my tea from Upton Tea imports, all loose and single estate. Instead of milk I've gone to half & half. Bags? I shudder.
I'm American and I'll have you know that I do not buy the giant jugs of milk. I never buy more than 4 pints (erm, 2 quarts) of milk... to use in my tea, of course! ;o)
A nice, strong cup of Tetley or PG Tips tea, with 1 and a half sugars to be precise, is just perfect for most English. Now coffee in my opinion, is mainly only good for giving you a pickup!
dont be so pretentious, a cup of brittish tea has to be enjoyed with the aid of an english breakfast tea bag, the twinnings variety are quite apt, and rich tea are not as good as digestive's, thats the real money winner, as for the production dan i thought it was very good!!! i will endeavour to do my own now so watch out, everybody visit my channel for the video coming soon
I dare say tea and biscuts are a splendid combination! I love it althougth i dare say u should of added a little sugar to take away from the bitterness. other then that it was quite fantastic!
Keeping the great in Britain....your teachin methods leave a bit to be desired however.....my nan used a teapot tea leaves and strainer back in the day!...by the way the lawsuit from starbucks is in the post you Dick Turpin ye!
I'd always add the sugar after the milk, cause if you put it in while the bags in the cup, the bag absorbs some of the sugar...plus...where were the pyramid bags?
But still, british and love tea...want tea now in fact...

do british people really prefer tea?
the way coffee is to americans but how a smaller portion prefers tea?
maybe majority of them like tea and a few like coffee?
hmm
i prefer tea but tasty green teas, for some reason i imagine british tea to be bland but maybe strong
also like most americans drink regular coffee even though flavored is tasty
Coffee is to USA as Tea is to UK?

True British cup of tea:
Tea pot! Loose-leaf (proper) tea. Leave to brew, preferably with a 'comedy' tea-cosy (with an 's').
Milk goes in the cup first, to preserve English fine-china (not shit, a sign of quality), sugar last.
Your cup of tea is FAR too WEAK!
