  • amazing guitar player *_*

  • only 120 k veiws on this oh well i will keep listining thank you to jimis mother and father

  • The drums appear to be those of 'Mick', drummer with Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick & Tich, who were a big UK pop phenom during '66-'68, so this audience was likely there for them and their hits like 'Hold Tight' and 'Hideaway', so they were unprepared for Hendrix. This looks like one of the first gigs by the experience...probably just doing a short opening set, so Jimi pulls out all his tricks. Even then, though, he had great guitar tone. And he's loud enough that doesn't need to pick the strings.

  • @MrCherryJuice ...Yeah and Noel and Mitch just seem to be glowing during the performance..not burnt out glow, but WOW glow...Just a great piece of tape..

  • R.I.P JIMI HENDRIX YOUR THE MAN!!! MUCH BETTER THAN THIS GARBAGE MUSIC THEY HAVE TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Four people are too stoned to even click the correct button!

  • the stupid fucks in the crowd had no idea they were watching a legend

  • you cant find anybody playing that calm and focused to his music beside JIMI HENDRIX

  • 4 poeple cant play the guitar

  • excellent

  • FOR ALL WHO WANTS TO HEAR MORE LOOK AT YOU TUBE WOODSTOCK JIMI HENDRIX AND YOU CAN HEAR 55 MINUTES LIVE

  • THE BEST GUITARPLAYER I HAVE EVER HEARD

  • Who could not love Jimi... what a performer, left handed and really the best innovative guitarist ever. A piece of me died when I heard he'd passed.

  • @Fyneparent22 We all have the same love for Jimi, he will always be in our harts <3

  • 1:44 wow!!!!!!!!!! That was fucking badass!!!!

  • He gave guitar a soul.

  • I'am Joe, hey...

  • Ofcourse the crowd is quiet, because they felt pure genius, even though they understood

only forest. What a stupid bunch of crowd, there was revolution right in front of them, but all

they were worried about was some fish&chips.

  • 1:45 made me wish to be a woman

  • Keep thinking, is that a red strat? xD xD :)

  • cheatin woman,,Got Blasted

  • True God

  • Muy bueno...

  • qué bueno! gracias

  • good

  • like for the spark in his eye right before solo time. Jimi loves steel in his mouth :)

  • @Enoned yeah that was really cute!

  • The best for my...!!!!!

  • Awesome days.

  • The band don't get enough credit...listen to Mitch challenging Hendrix at almost every chord change...this song (how it played) just hints at how the chemistry of JHE would be...Bass is timekeeper, Drum and Guitar soar above arrangement....Band of Gypsys was reverse of that but my God what a band that was too...although you could at times where Mitch was needed, although not often coz of great Cox was on bass...looool except at Woodstock, poor guy - frying pan into fire...

    God Bless ya Jimi

  • @DFK01091914 That is the best best description of JHE I have heard. VERY VERY well said. Though Noel's parts were at times simple, they were a very pivitol role in the band. He was the glue that kept this anarchic trio together This is also a GREAT video, one of his best earllier performances. Thanks for posting this! Rest in peace Jimi, Mitch and Noel.

  • El es un ángel...

  • That would be "no words."

  • I have not words.

  • Holy The Christ!!!!!

  • it's too bad he insisted to play last at Woodstock, 100's of 1000's could of heard; it was among the greatest rock performances of all time... if not the best...

  • Hey Jimi

  • 2 Dislikes.. WHY, God? WHY?!

  • @xxFAiiLEDxx sombody posted a comment that sad 0 dislikes. people see that and think that they are funny or something like that .

  • They should have been called "The Afro Eperience"

  • @mehdimehdimehdi there are two white guys in that band . if you call it the Afro Experience the audience expects Afro-Americans

  • is he using compressor or not?..pls tell me

  • @Groove1993 It's probably just the natural distortion from the overdriven tubes. I don't think he used any kind of compression pedal, if that's what you mean.

  • @Groove1993 Don't think compressor pedals were invented back then.

  • i like the solo :D

  • I wish I had been in the audience ... which is quite pathetic ... Hendrix forever !

  • licking strings at 1:45!

  • A friend of mine told me story about his only time seeing Hendrix live at the Filmore East in NYC. He said that these photographers wouldn't stop snapping pics of him and he was upset, so he asked them to please stop cause he couldn't play with them snapping like that. They didn't, so he got mad, turned around played the rest of the show with his back to the audience. Great guitarist. Love this video with his hair all funky looking for the mostly beatle fans white crowd. Gotta love the 60's

  • I wonder if the audience was cut and pasted in later.

  • uta ette won le klava na sopeo a la citara

  • 1:43 every girl in that crowd had instant orgasms

  • Holy Shit! What a boss on that solo!

  • I bet that solo got him loads of pussy. Haha truly love this song.

  • sharks finn

  • hell this hair... o.o... THE GOD DAM ALBERT EINSTEIN of the Music =D

  • @tswars

    in jeder hinsicht ;)

    in every way.

  • Comment removed

  • @tswars Not just the hair ... he was genius too ... !

  • The audience had no idea what the hell was going on.

  • The best version of Hey Joe I have heard, yet!

Tired of hearing of "black" and "white", especially when it comes to Hendrix. He himself was accused by the "black community" of not playing "black" music; for example because he was influenced by Dylan. Hendrix said he just wanted to play music... and that he did great!

  • 0 dislike!!

  • The quote of Eric Clapton saying "everybody knows that nyggers have big dicks, and Jimi exposed that to the limit" can be found in an interview he did with Rolling Stone magazine in the late 1960s. Again, I am guessing that if Clapton performed the same concert with Cream, the audience, particularly the girls, who not have been so quiet. And no one would be jeering Clapton with French whistling.

  • @juleskapunq Somewhere in Europe. It looks like a polite crowd but my theory is that because Hendrix is black the audience is giving him a cool reception. Note the comment that the audience whistled at Hendrix after his set. In France that is like been booed. Today , Hendrix licking the guitar strings with his teeth looks sexy. But to a completely white audience in Europe, they whistled at him. Clapton said "nyggers have big dicks." Clapton was God guitarist. Hendrix was nygger guitarist. Sad.

  • Where was this filmed/videotaped? In what country does this concert take place?

  • I wonder if Eric Clapton or Jimmy Page would have received such a stoic, cold hearted response from the overwhelmingly white audience? Judging from the audience reaction, I would say this is 60s Europe, either Germany or a former Nazi neutral nation like Sweden or Switzerland or some place like that. It is just sad that Hendrix was not appreciated more when he was alive. Clapton would comment about how Hendrix had to wiggle his butt lick the guitar like a pimp becaause that's what's expected.

  • Long live the sixties, long live Jimi Hendrix.

  • Where was this filmed/videotaped? Looks like somewhere in Europe? France? Holland? They seem too polite and well dressed to be American or even British kids. Of course, kids dress much differently in the mid 60s. Looks like circa 1967-68

  • ♥ Will you join Michael and I in The Army of L.O.V.E ? ♥

  • cant fuk wit jimi

  • they could not comprehend at the time, what they witnessed.

  • @geggs13 why do you think they couldnt?

  • @WhoIamisIamwhois because the audience stands rigid as if they are bored.

  • @geggs13 so to understand music you need to be jumping and shouting¿?

  • @WhoIamisIamwhois Sure, they could listen to the exact same song in a music classroom. There would be no jumping or souting, and probably they would understand the music. But that wouldn't be a live concert, right? Of course everyone is allowed to enjoy music the way they like. Maybe I' m just desirus of those times (60-70) and those great musicians.....

  • @geggs13 so to understand music you have to hear it in concerts? you cant understand music if you hear it in a classroom, is that what you are saying¿?

  • @WhoIamisIamwhois yes, that's what I'm saying.

  • @geggs13 ok, I've reached my conclussion. You're an idiot.

  • @WhoIamisIamwhois I'm afraid I did that before you.

  • @WhoIamisIamwhois Add me to the list of idiots then. I think this is fantastic. And I can't believe these overly formal dressed kids clapping and barely cracking a smile as Hendrix plays the solo with his teeth and tongue. As was commonplace back then, Hendrix is playing to an all white audience. The European girls probably didn't know what to make of this American negro boy playing the guitar with his tongue.

  • @TDS4UT yeah yeah, all too fantastic. But, if you cant understand music unleass you are jumping and shouting (what makes no sense to me), thats your problem, it doesnt mean this women couldnt.

  • @WhoIamisIamwhois I think that rock and roll is about jumping and shouting. These people are like frozen. It seems like some Northern European audience. They act like they are at a recital for a Mozart concert. They are all over dressed. The guys in the turtlenecks and the girls in the dresses down to their kneecaps and the flat shoes. Can you picture Beyonce or Lady Gaga dressing like this? It's like watching an episode from the Twilight Zone. It is as strange as Jack Black at a Mozart concerto

  • Respond to this video... These women's parents probably came from countries that remained neutral during World War Two whilst the Germans murdered millions of Jews. The audience no doubt hated Hendrix because he was black, in the same way Hitler reacted to Jessee Owens. I suppose if you wanted the girls to swoon you should have brought out Adolph Hitler to throw a few Jews into a lions pit. That should get a rise out of those sour krauts.

  • @TDS4UT why are you talking about war? I mean... what¿? are you now claiming these women couldnt understand music because their parents PROBABLY remained neutral during the war?

  • @WhoIamisIamwhois Those that fail to learn history are destined to repeat it. Look at Hendrix. Racism is a result of the American Civil War which, technically, isn't over. There is still prejudice. There is still racism in the USA. The KKK is there. Until the very last American has stopped saying the word nygger, and stopped treating blacks as minorities and second class, the Civil War in the US isn't over. Hendrix was basically Amos and Andy on acid. Most of his audiences were white.

  • @TDS4UT ok, you stopped talking about war, now you are talking about racism... I fail to see the the connection between that and this people not understanding hendrix's music because they are not jumping and shouting

  • @WhoIamisIamwhois I don't think that you understand my comments. My understanding of racism, specifically racism against African Americans dates back to the Civil War. When you involve racism outside of the US, specifically related to racism against African Americans dealing with white Europeans it relates to World War Two.

Hitler hated blacks as much, if not more so, than Jews. He considered both Jews and blacks to be racially inferior to him and his Aryan race in Germany.

  • @TDS4UT I still have got no idea why you decided to talk about racism

  • @geggs13 If it was the Beatles or the Rolling Stones, I seriously doubt those kids would be reacting the same way. That is because they are not black. I would like to know what country this was taking place in. Racism is different in every country. It looks like either Germany or some country allied with the Nazis during WW II. That would explain the cold reception that Hendrix experienced.

  • @TDS4UT I don't know about racism. If that, why did they go to the concert in the first place?

  • @geggs13 Just because a white person attends a black person's concert doesn't mean that they are not racist or prejudiced. Eric Clapton talked about Hendrix in Rolling Stone Magazine "You know that nyggers have big dicks. Jimi took that to the limit." So here is Eric "God" Clapton referring to Hendrix who was a much better guitar player than him as a nygger. So Clapton is God and God calls Hendrix a nygger. I am sure that if the British WASP Clapton was there, the girls would have screamed.

  • Wtf was the crowd doing?!?!

  • They whistled at the end, which in France is the same as booing. (Or so I've heard...)

  • @TwelfthImam Was this in France? Did they whistle at Jimi as if to boo him off the stage? Well, France was occupied by the Nazis, after all. Sad, but makes sense.

  • @TDS4UT I have tried to ask here where this was filmed or videotaped and all I get is being accused of being a racist. Hendrix did face racism in the USA and in the UK. He was insulted in the UK and in some cases he was hated in some places in the US. It is heard to imagine because of the clarity of this video that this happened over 40 years ago. It was a different world then. There was still only a small minority of whites who both liked and respected black entertainers.

  • i didnt know his guitar was a righty

  • what the hell... why was that crowd of people not jumping up and down?

  • Cool Jimi .
