having played this guy again, the easiest way to beat him is to stand right below him. then he can't hit you. you can hit him by pressing A+B right after he shoots
And that was very lazy of Konami to make you fight Bebop and Rocksteady again at the same time in the arcade version. They could have easily put in the Fugitoid or a Triceraton for a boss in the arcade version.
Fugitoid is in the original black and white mirage comics.
Konami did introduce some characters and elements from the comics into the old games even though they were most prominently based on the vastly different '87 cartoon series.
It wouldn't have been too much of a stretch as Fugi did have an action figure in the old line.
I like Baxter in his human form better, and that was the only version that appeared in the arcade. Bebop and Rocksteady together is in place of this fight with Baxter the Fly in the arcade.
The NTSC version of this game was plastered with Pizza Hut advertising (the two signs that fall down in the second level - even inside April's apartment building!). A smart marketing move by them - I wonder if they ever heard of the weird taste in pizza the turtles have.
I understand trying to add some variety to the game, but Baxter's just so freakin' annoying, and to have to beat him up twice ... I always just pounded him to the left with jumpkicks until he was pinned against the wall, and just kept jumpkicking until he bought it. Once you figure out the rhythm, you don't have to worry much about his little glowing star thingies knocking you out of the air, and you can just whale on him nonstop and get on to the tougher levels.
there isn't much variety in beating the bosses, especially with Stockman's attack pattern. Unless you're some thrillseeker who aims to kill the bosses with 3 life or less.
All you need to do is stand right below this guy and wait for him to fire... he'll miss, and then you can jump up and hit him with a jump kick. If he's low enough go for A+B Special attack...
I never thought that you fight Baxter Stockman twice in the NES version!

i had to use Game Genie to beat these games, infinite lives, enemys die in one hit(except bosses)

And then April got it on with Donnie in the back of the turtlemobile.
"I owe you one"
Not the least bit suspicious, eh?

@goreombola I believe they stole that line from the very first episode where April says "I owe you one" that when the skyscraper is getting flooded.

Did Baxter mutate into a fly between the two levels?

Anyone noticed April's boobies

I love the irony of Baxter Stockman using a flyswatter as a melee weapon.

Does the fly Baxter Stockman appear in the arcade version of this game or do you fight a different boss instead of him?

I believe you fought Bebop and Rocksteady in the Arcade one.

Yeah, but didn't the Fugitoid only exist in the newer series? This is based on the older series.

is that a flyswatter he's hitting u with??? What an ironic son of a bitch!
And u gotta love that Pizza Hut plug, they were all over tmnt back in the day
EightFlew0ver 3 years ago 5
Haha, I never noticed the swatter before, truly ironic. I think there was also a Pizza Hut coupon that came with the game.

Haha, probably not, or they wouldn't have put up advertising.
yymastaconfuctious 3 years ago
Most likely. Back when I was a kid, the most common place you'd find a TMNT Arcade game machine was at the local Pizza Hut.

Not saying that it isn't already. Other people have different ways of playing this game.
