The 30-pin connector and 3.5mm-to-3.5mm AV cable (both included) will together easily connect Swivel to the following Apple products: iPod Classic iPod Nano iPod Touch iPhone iPad The composite-to-3.5mm cable (included) works well with a wide range of devices that have standard composite (sometimes called RCA) AV output, such as: Flip Video (most models) Vado Pocket Video Cam Camcorders (most models) DV-cams (most models) Digital cameras (most models) DVD (and portable DVD players)
No RCA?...no wonder it's not all that great...adapters are crap and usually degrade picture and clarity even further...I would be very cautious to buy this without seeing it function in real life...
@miscanime it comes with adapters The 30-pin connector and 3.5mm-to-3.5mm AV cable (both included) will together easily connect Swivel to the following Apple products: iPod Classic iPod Nano iPod Touch iPhone iPad The composite-to-3.5mm cable (included) works well with a wide range of devices that have standard composite (sometimes called RCA) AV output, such as: Vado Pocket Video Cam Camcorders (most models) DV-cams (most models) Digital cameras (most models) DVD (and portable DVD players)
@TheBrianKSr You obviously didn't read that ADAPTERS are crap line I typed....I would much rather have dedicated RCA over one of those "holes" that adapts from everything...but who knows.
@Eksteven4321 Nope. You can also project from smartphones and game consoles. Getting ready to purchase one since they are really cheap now. $120.00~$130.00 on eBay.
@BIzarreTroop I've heard that here are adapters available for PS3, Gamecube, and the XBox 360 ... but have to be bought seperately. Whether it's true or not I can't say for certain because I searched online and couldn't find any. Myself, I'm getting a Cinemin for PS2. The adapter for which is shown in the video at 1:49
hello.. i am going to buy one of the mini-projectors, and i am thinking between Cinemin Swiwel and axxa pico p1 jr. can you help me on decideing which one is the right choice.. or maybe some third choice.. budget is kind of the same for all, 50 $ up or down doesn't make great difference. thank you!
@TheAgalijat The Cinemin Swivel is my choice between those two, however, do take a look at the ShowWX+ which is a laser pico projector. That one is really cool and I did a video review of that as well.
@HighT3chDad Thank you very much for letting me know of existance of laser projector. Can you tell me is there very big difference between ShowWX and ShowWX+ because the first one is affordable, but the second one is twice as first one. (eBay offers). Will I be satisfied with the first one enough(is the first one more remmended than Cinemin or axxa)? Thank you for your professional help!
@TheAgalijat Did you compare them on their product page? On their FAQ page, they talk about the PLUS one being 50% brighter and compatible with more devices (like iOS devices)
if you have a jailbroken iphone there are apps in cydia like tvout tuner that transform this cinemin into a more cool gadget. you can project with these apps anything that in your iphone screen including games, just anything!!!
@Spendude56 It only will show what Apple allows it to show, so that would be (currently) movies and slideshows. Perhaps that will change in the future.
hi hightechdad, love your videos i was just wondering since i ordered cinmen swivel that will it come with the cable to connect with my iphone or will i have to buy that seperate. Thanks
Assuming that you can connect a pico projector to an iPhone/iPod using the doc connector, I don't believe that Apple has changed this with the iPad. That means you should be able to play movies or photo slide shows just fine (those are the only items that Apple currently allows video playback on).
I have a question, I have an sky sports application, will It be able to project apps too? And also does it project the Internet too from the iPhone and streaming videos?
I believe (untested on the WowWee as I had to return it) that you can only show video coming from the iPod application (e.g., movies). That is typically how the iPhone outputs video. However, I will test on another Pico projector (the Aaxa P2) that I'm testing now and will include in that review.
Thanks for the review - this just proves my feelings I'm soooo over 8-12 lumen pico projectors. They are too weak. Just ordered an AAXA P2 pico projector (33 lumens 800x600 resolution). Keeping my fingers crossed that it is worth the extra money...
I've been looking for a projector that I can carry around with relative ease. Thank you for the review. I will definitely consider the Cinemin Swivel. :)
