I think it's funny people say the Salzedo harp is ugly...clearly they've never seen one up close. It's striking and beautiful. A harp does not need to have gold on it, although gold harps (really all harps) are beautiful. I own a Salzedo and LOVE it.There's no other harp like it. And Alice Giles is one of the most incredible harpists in the world, this piece is extremely difficult - most harpists won't even try to play it. So just sit back and listen and enjoy.

Wow beautiful! I am a big fan of the Zalzedo L&H harp. Our orchestra (omaha Ne) has one and its a fine instrument. You can hear it through the orchestra.

Itzhak Perlman came to town on saturday. He played schindlers list with our orchestra and the Salzedo came though clearly and beautifully. Providing the sweet sonority and bass needed for the song!

I don't think I like this music. I don't really like Salzedo Harp either. I know many people like this model but I think harp should be gold ! Salzedo once said that gold shouldn't be on harp but I still think gold harp is beautiful.

how you can say at the same time that you don't like salzedo music and salzedo harp? is it the same kind of thing? if you don't like salzedo, you are very ignorant. it's impossible not to appreciate him and his work, he totally change the harp world of the time, he has been an amazing pianist, composer, harpist, conductor and surely an amazing person. read his biography by Dewey Owens before posting such ignorant comments. and practice his music.

Stunning neatness, rhythm, clean attack and a gorgeous tone. If only people knew how hard this is to achieve! So many things to control: Pedalling, avoiding the buzzes, clean articulation, finding fingering, speed, keeping still...it's overwhelming compared to a piano where all the notes are there beneath you. Fabulous playing.

Hahah i am a piano player! But i am also a flautist... and i understand! The harp looks a lot harder than a lot of instruments! I mean with the piano the skill is really in the emotion! But you have all the difficulty of the piano in the harp plus a lot! I admire any harp player!
