This is really irresponsible journalism. Of course, this is horrific, but it's not representative of the norm. There are far more people responsible for harming their own kids than there are foster families responsible. Most foster parents are wonderful people who are love and take care of kids who were horribly abused by their own parents. I don't know about Michigan, but I used to work in the system and we NEVER took a child away for neglect. These kids were mostly raped or sold for drug money
