Americans Keep up the cause, its not right for these people we put in office to be pawns to the greedy at the expense of the people the masses. Making laws that only benefit them the greedy, and justify it by saying its the law. Slavery once was legal it didn't make it right. We must change these laws for all to benefit and live with dignity self worth. No emergency manager dictator its unconstitutional. Right to work, code name work for worse wages. Screw the working Man, Woman.
@x0PUNKER0X So you're saying that Obama is NOT taking money from Wall Street Inc. and Big Businesses? And you're saying that he has shut the door on secret Lobbyist meetings? They now meet across the street so they don't have to sign in.
Wake up. The Democrats are bought politicians too. And if you think they can take all that money and not give Wall Street Inc. favoured treatment then there is little I can say to convince you otherwise...
@x0PUNKER0X Using the logic that a politician (Obama for instance) can take money and not do what they tell him to do; means that the CU decision should not be a big deal.
It's true that a Politician is not obligated to support legislation which favours big donors... But in reality we know they do vote for that type of leg. And that means Obama will also do that, not just blue dogs/GOP. Or else why is CU a problem (rhetorical).
@Aquimedes1: What you said makes no sense.Even if Citizens United style donations don't influence Obama, the ruling still undermines Democracy. If a billionaire can donate obscene amounts of money to a candidate, they have bought them. Even if Obama doesn't have an overlord, it doesn't mean other lawmakers can't be owned. That's all the conservatives need to achieve their objective. People in Congress to stand in the way of Obama who is, heaven forbid, just trying to help the average person.
@x0PUNKER0X Obviously we are not communicating well. I thought you were trying to defend Obama by saying he is not influenced by donations and he just "listens" to everyone.
My point is that all these guys who take money from Wall Street Inc. ARE influenced by them, including Democrats, along with Obama. If you want to continue this discussion, you can go on Facebook and search for "Ronin Liberals of OWS (RL-OWS)" and we won't have typing limits on comments.
@Aquimedes1: I don't like everything Obama has done, but I don't agree that he has been bought. I do think much of Congress has been, though. We agree we disagree.
Conservatives and Libertarians support the concepts of corporations as people and money as speech so they can point at the resultant corruption of government and say, "Look, it's corrupt, government can't do anything and you can't fix it." Funny how that works.
"Occupy the Courts" on FRIDAY Jan. 20th. California Central Coast Occupiers will be driving over to a federal court in Bakersfield and inviting the local mountain folk to join us. Find the nearest federal courthouse and take your lunch break over there, and make your presence known for this.
@peetrwilson Sanders speaking is refreshing. But Americans are too busy trying to survive and sadly do not think about or listen to him. Today he is relatively unknown.
Thank you Senator Sanders for your constitutional ammendment to stop Citizens United, and thank you for being one of only seven Senators who posessed the wisdom, ethics and guts to vote against the 2012 NDAA. (It's a shame that President George W. Obama doesn't have those same qualities, as he demonstrated by signing the 2012 NDAA)

@Aquimedes1:What do you mean? Obama spoke out against Citizens United. Romney actually stated publically "Corporations are people." Big difference!

I'm not saying there aren't blue dog Democrats in Congress. We need to change campaign finance, ammend Citizens United. That's the problem.

Speaking of taking the voice from the little guy, Mitt Romney believes only wealthy people should run for public office.
