@Jakeoc2 Well, it will be tricky but it can be done. Look for a laptop with a Core i7 cpu, the best vid card you can get (aim for one with 1gb mem) and the more system RAM the better. ArmA3 is just a few months away! And it looks good!

hey guys.. if you want to play online, use ArmA 1.14 and Tunngle (zero-configuration virtual private network). It's easier to use and more stable than hamachi. It has virtual rooms so it is easy to find others who play it. Have fun :)

@hurrayforvideogames Well this video is of ArmA1. ArmA2 is out now, looks MUCH better but is more demanding. At least you have a Core 2 Duo CPU. Thats important. Im not sure about the 7100. I would say make that your first upgrade. But with a half decent card and at least 4GB of RAM, you can run the game on low to Mid settings fairly smooth.

There are like 3 large patches for ArmA 1 ( I think). But if you buy the latest gold version, i don't know how many apply, or if they are included in the Gold version. Arma 2 is going to ROCK.

Oh wow, that is an older, mid range card.. .very out dated. No matter what you tweak, it will struggle with Arma.

But try what i recommended.

Turn all your settings to the lowest possible. When ingame open up your task manager then click processes then find arma.exe and right click on it then hit set priority and set it to either high or realtime. also make sure to turn your view distance down put it at 800 or lower.
