It really annoys me when people who have an appreciation of art are shown to be snobs. If anything shows weakness in the writing of prisoner then that does.
How disappointing for a character as promising as Kerry (who said that she was not interested in men, but only her painting) to then fall to pieces because of a man. I think this highlights some of the weaknesses in the writing of Prisoner. The strong female characters turn in to wrecks over men! Would have been better if she just found out that he was ripping her off, & becoming angry, rather than it being sour grapes over unreciprocated love.
