Yeah you want to see the state of my legs. I even start on chest hair if its conveniant. End up with funny bald patches all over the place. if someone who didnt know me well saw if I took my top off they'd think wtf! lol
Or my legs. Good job it's too cold to wear shorts and no top lol
doesnt look that bad that wood. pretty nice. gto bunch of all different wood like that from a fellow you tuber dafrogtoad and since im not all that big on wood, i though it would be cool to share with you some (i have tons lol) because i know you like when you have wood :) lol
@AussieMark909 haha well said mark. i though the same thing. except one thing... why that man mentions my name as he does it?!?! hahaha just teasing kyley of course :)
@chavezchavez556 Oh Boy! :D You must have big balls to request another man shave his on camera for you! So big I think I should really shave your balls instead... easier target :-P
A lovely handle, looks so comfortable. How do they sheath up? A nice little thumb push ramp and maybe keep the sheath top below the handle? This knife has a little drop at the tip, such a useful point, such a great little knife.
Man, I can get my knives sharp enough to slice hair, but never that easily and smoothly. Can you get your thicker blades to do it as easily, or is it a function of the thinness of that blade?
@ayokay123 I can make any of my knives that sharp, but it is easier on the thin geometry. you have to remember even my 1/4" blades normally have 10-12 degree edges.
@knivesandstuff 20-24º inclusive? Holy crap! You can't be referring to convex, can you? If so, how can you determine a convex angle? I'm stumped on that one. :D
@ayokay123 20-24 at the most normally. You measure the angle very easily. 1 way is to lift the blade until it bites into a piece of leather. Thats the point the edge is cutting in. You then measure the height of the spine off the leather, and the width of the blade at that point and use some math.. Or just hold a protractor next to the knife :) a convex is a constantly reducing angle so you are always measuring the angle at the apex. right behind the edge its already getting smaller.
@knivesandstuff Yeah and if it's Kyleys knives dont use your strop or anything good because my knife bit and skinned the leather and I couldn't even feel it bite. I fucked up the strop with it.This is 5 ml spine and 1" blade hieght, convex almost full height, pretty much full hieght really
@CliffStamp standard finishing process is a 240grit belt finish, then a fine Scotchbrite buffing wheel on the bench grinder. from that point its quite sharp. I then hand rub on 1000-1200 paper for about 10 seconds per side, and then strop 3 or 4 times per side on a leather hone that had the compound applied about 2 years ago :) On this one, I then gave it 2 passes per side on my new cKc Hone I make.
@knivesandstuff I can understand that in theory with a light touch, in practice I tend to roll-bias edges easily with rods, even ceramics. I need to work on being delicate.
@CliffStamp Hey, StampMan....you're referred to as a veritable fount of knife knowledge, but I have yet to be able to find any active or inactive website that has your old postings. Do you have an active site? If so, can you provide the URL? Sorry for thread-crapping, Kyley.

@TheSchutes Sheath has to go over the handle as there is no retention point anywhere else. I did Orange Kydex necker with thumb ramp.

@knivesandstuff Do you get an edge bias from the smooth hone or will it shave equally well with both sides of the edge?
CliffStamp 1 month ago
@CliffStamp same on each side. no wire edge, and the edge is straight.
