Before Smoke was nerfed, he had an easy 40% damage kombo, now at 35%.

Basicly proper playing with smoke is doing a combos and another if you can, then throwing the smoke cloud and doing something from there.. I prefer throwing.

@macvol23 it's not really emo hair...it's whispy because he is posessed by a (spoiler) vapor demon. So it kinda makes sense that his hair would be whispy.

@Bain0o They're definitely doable on a fightstick, its just a preference, I use a fight stick for marvel, ssfiv, and everything else, but I've only been used to mk with a controller, so i use controllers just for mk :)

@Bain0o Yes you are right with that. D-Pad is more precise here. Takes a little bit to get used to but its worth it in my opinion.

Idk if you know already, but you should try doing his kick then grab in the air rather than the punch. I found that the air kick does more damage than the punch by a tiny bit. But every bit of damage is vital in MK!

MK9 in my opinion isn't a game u can break wide open, it feels limited, can't really go in the lab and create as much as u would in MVC3.

I'm able to pull of like a 38% combo with Smoke midscreen. The only thing I don't like about this video is that every combo is pretty much started with the same attack. Smoke has like 4 different ways to get the opponent in the air. Again, I read the description and I know you only played for 40 minutes but I'm a variety over effectiveness kinda guy.

Most of your combos are reliant on being the corner. Jax and I assume a lot of characters can do the same thing. I've been able to hit 50% damage with Jax in the corner.

Realistically though I think the highest damage without corner I've been able to do on any character is 34%. Also, comboing into x-rays after like 5+ hits is useless. It will end up doing about the same damage as if you landed it with comboing into it.

@Stetzer13 I know an x-ray combo with sz that does 40%. And you can do a slide or ex slide in place of his x ray at the end for around 28% damage, in case ya don't have enough super meter =D

@Stetzer13 Kitana can do 50% out of the corner and so can Smoke (well 40+% if you do his launcher string kick airthrow otg smoke bomb) and follow up as the come down of you choice is damaging. And also can be done outside of the corner.

@Stetzer13 I completely agree with using an xray after 5+ hits; there's no point because of the damage scaling. Personally, I have been able to do a 56% combo with one bar midscreen, and 63% combo midscreen using all bars.
