I somehow stumbled across this the other day, and it's without a doubt one of the most heartbreaking stories I've ever seen; I was choking back tears to be honest. Such a cruel world it can be, to lose three beautiful kids, one after the other, just like that. I'm glad that the parents were able to go on not only for themselves, but for Kyle, Emma, and Katie as they're watching in heaven.

The term "expired" is used quite frequently by medical and law enforcement personnel here in the USA. It's a terrible way to tell a family that their loved one has died. So very cold and uncaring. They use that word to distance themselves from the fact that they're talking about a human being. Shame on the medical staff for breaking the news like that. How hard is it to say passed away instead of expired? It's the least they could have said!

I live in the same city as the Cobles. this story is still so sad, i was watching them on Oprah today. I remember watching the story of the crash on the news&hearing they lived 5 mins away! at the time i was attending the elementary school that Kyle would hav attended the next yr. there were pink and blue ribbons everywhere. every single tree in town. their street still decorates their street during xmas in pink and blue. 2 years ago, the cobles had triplets, 2 girls&1 boy, definitely a miracle.
