  • SENSACIONAL! Viva FELA!

  • Man, I hate how music, just isnt as good these days. Im not saying it's all bad but for most the mainstream decide what thay listen to... i got exposed to world music through Rock & Roll, and this sounds great... Shame most people aren't exposed to other cultures and their music, i mean this is old ( judging from comments i read) and im just discovering it! There are treasures all around the world, Africa, Asia, Latin America etc, etc, now I just need to find them!!

  • this is not 1976,this bit close to his last year, fela was not very energetic as usual here,Fela is subject that needed to be studied at all our institutions

  • @elmontpat

Don't call him 'ransom'.. He replaced ransom with anikulapo. Ransom is a slave name (I think).

  • my bad....u r right....thx 4 da correction....

  • @cavaleer may be fucked till you repent. idiot

  • @unitarie Truth hurts doesn't it? lol. This shit would get his ass kicked off the stage and stomped in America in the '30s. All you fools praising this shyt are comical. Fela definitely had his sound and definitely had some great riffs and chords but he doesn't know shyt about playing the horn. If I wanted to learn how to play the DJEMBE I might go to Nigeria and learn. If I want to learn how to solo on the saxophone there's only ONE PLACE to learn that. STARS AND STRIPES FOOL.

  • @cavaleer What the fuck is a faggot like you doing on this page! Go listen to your "stars and stripes", then stick it up your faggot ass. Fools like you can't survive in the real world. Come to Nigeria just for one day and lets see what good your "stars and stripes" will do. Oloriburuku! Igbe lo ma je ku! Ko ni da fun e!

  • @cavaleer I suggest you did some studying before talking... as if someone would have given him a visa, plane ticket and a scholarship with food and room paid for, to go and learn in another country.. genius, that's how it manifests, with such resources, plenty of merit.. would've?, should've?.. I haven't heard of a time machine yet.. and the message stays and matters most..

  • @cavaleer You can never and ever enjoy him......he is not meant for people like you as in 'RACIST'. We love him because he is what we called 'OUR OWN'. You can go anywhere to learn anything, we care less....cos for me nothig you sing, play matters. RACIST......U...R.

  • @priscilla864 LMAO!!!!!! Good for you...

  • 'HEY'

  • @Psychedelic925 - Army Arrangement

  • THIS IS RAW TALENT. NOT THE RECENT NIGERIAN HOOLIGAN MUSICIANS... MONEY SEEKING-YOUTHS, LOST BOYS AND GIRLS WITHOUT DIRECTIONS...BRAINWASHED BY SEEK-THE-MONEY-LEAVE-THE-LIFE-MESSAGE...

HOW MANY PENTECOSTAL PASTORS DO WE HAVE AROUND IN NIGERIA WHO CAN DELIVER THEIR MESSAGES (CERTAINLY NOT GOD'S) AS BOLD AS THIS MAN?

OBASANJO HAS TO REVISIT THIS MESSAGE.

  • Love this man and his music. No comparison to bob marley. They both have there own style and message.

  • power show, what a great powerful song, always give goosebumps

  • has someone seen US(undergroung system) posted anywhere on you tube?

  • Just an amazing musician/artiste/Africancentrist (sp) RIP African President!

    Ashe!

My father was extremely fortunate to know him, I was lucky to have met him when I was a very small child... I sat on his lap! Really wish that I had a picture:(

  • Fela Kuti was better musician than Bob Marley. Fela smokes the same quantity of weed than Marley. Fela also had a lot of women like Marley. But the difference is that Fela was a REAL AFRICAN. His message is not soft nether lovely like the one of Marley. Fela is raw, savage. Fela Kuti its better than Bob Marley, because Fela Kuti always resist more the white man. I don´t know why Bob Marley has international acknowledgment, awards and all kind of official crap, and Fela Kuti stays in shadows.

  • @MezcalFaceDonut It is because you are hating on Bob that you can not see why Bob is more "popular" in the "western" (read white) media sphere. THE POLITICS AND THE ECONOMIC INTERESTS concerned in the two brother's lives. Fela (everliving!) was fighting the "black version" of white supremacy. Fela was attacked by the government. His mother, as well as others, were KILLED by government troops. Bob was shoot by street criminals over politics. They COVER Fela so he can not INLUENCE YOUTH!

  • @MezcalFaceDonut

Interesting. However, do you realized that he created afro beat by using jazz, funk, and soul, with Highlife. So he music isn't African music. It is African Diasporan music. So you can say he is an African playing African American genre of music, with an African spin on it.

  • @PatsBooks all "African" american music originates with the slave chants and what slaves brought from Akebulan so... chicken or the egg really.

  • @MezcalFaceDonut black music is black music lt us unite instead of divide

  • EBAMIEDA HIMSELF OF KALAKUTA REPUBLIC.

  • Fela was the shit.

  • Santafecard,

You are the shit and you will never achieve what great Fela had achieved thru his music in your life!

  • @osoigbo, I think what Santafecard meant was 'fela was the best' Fela was the shit meant 'fela was the best'!

  • wonderful music and these women are turning me on by the way they are dancing, am i alone?

  • I guess so, now you can undisturbedly masturbate

  • These women in Fela band had to be in great shape to keep up with him. This is what I call a great performance. Everyone done their part. the band is awesome. I can't help but give this Man honors for his great work. His ministry showed nothing but love and respect. May God bless Fela Kuti fruits of his labor.

  • Thanks for posting. Great man, great artist. The abami Eda himself. Rest in Peace. All the ills of the Nigerian society he preached against is still happening today..

  • wow. this is "army arrangement". i never knew he did this in concert. thats awesome. my favorite song by fela.

  • Listen to "M.O.P","Fear Not man", and "Pansa Pansa". EXPLOSIVE!!! FIERCE!!! BLOOD!!! THUNDER!!! LIGHTNING!!! CHAOS!!! AND TRUTH.

  • Well, lets make the most recent comment on this not some immature bickering or some....grammar issue. Fela Anikulapo Kuti is a legend and the music lives on in us all. Long live the Kuti legacy.

  • with 1 L !!

  • just listen to the music

  • can our movie maker , make movie about this african living legend

  • Only an ignorant and ungrateful cowgcaysian like 'wohalia' would deny the truth. Listen, 2white ppl cannot give birth 2 'blackbino' (if there is such a thing). BUT 2african 'savages' (or The Salt of the Earth i prefer) may create Albino humans....... How do you fink u and your kind came about...Yes son 'U rope an'

  • im sorry. Wohali7, you misspelled sentence! It's sentence, not sentance.

  • wohali. poor soul. maybey there will be hope for you in the future. but as it stands now you are still in denial. savages, ancient europeans. very funny! go home and try again. don't be bitter over your heritage. its ok to be European, but you must respect your ancestral elders.....the African savages who gave birth to humanity and your sorry ass! We stil love you though!

  • "Sorry ass"? "stil love you though"?

False statements like this just proves that black people are the forefathers of the LIE, and nothing else.

Where would the world be without the European influence? Still in africa, dealing with disease through voodoo, still drinking blood, still cutting off their Women's clitoris.

  • so Europeans are the light and angels of the world and Africans are the darkness and devils. Thank you for clarifying that rediculously false, unscientific, unhistorical, and eurocentric perspective. Your perspective, self destructive. If all humanity were birthed out of Africa than everyone is a decendant of Africans. Based on this fact some could technically even say that Europeans are mutants of the original African seed, but I wouldn't put it way although it may be actually true.

  • lol. lol. lol. wohali1. i give you credit....you try. you need a hug! it will be alright. i am officially ending this amusing game.... i have to go look for some more AMAZING fela you tube videos. Sincerely, yours, A unashamed, unapologetic, West African Yoruba priest of Ifa and Sango. Now scatta, scatta..,......

  • LEGEND!

I hope one day young Blacks in Africa can wake up and eliminate those who perpetuate suffering as a condition of life in the midst of "our oil" revenue being spent by a few selected families in the case of Nigeria, as "suffer still dey paparapa in naija now" 2 decades after this song, naa still obasanjo + y'aradua still!, as in 1978!
