If you're smart with how you spend your money and savvy enough to put together your own pc, you only need to upgrade ever 3-4 years. If you can stand playing games on low settings, then you can probably wait 5-6 years.

And those upgrades are cheap assuming you buy the right stuff. The latest GPU i bought cost 150 dollars, and with the exception of Crysis and GTA4 i've been able to max everything out in full 1080p resolution.

Halo for PC and Halo for xbox cost virtually the same if they are both new. And I was saying that yes, they overprice Xbox hard drives, but at the same time, you can get a used xbox for the same price as a cpu hard drive.(I wouldnt). Games are games, unless you download them illegally, or for free. That and the fact that the xbox has no internet, are the only things going for your pc. I happen to use my pc for other stuff besides gaming, such as Video and music production, and also for work.

And I know you can get emulators and roms and stuff, but I dont got the time to do that anymore. If I played MMP games like Warcraft, starcraft, diablo, then yes I would pull for PC side, but I dont even get into Computer Games that much anymore besides a little Red Alert here and there(like once a month). I know that todays cpu's can do anything a console can.
