Mind you, I know the early bands that "started" punk that people here like to bring up, but I also know that punk survives today thanks to bands like Strung Out who have the right ethics and attitude as well as a unique sound that allows them to stay out of the quagmire people like you create.

Strung Out is definitely a mix of punk and metal these days (which I like!). I especially enjoy the metal elements on Exile and Blackhawks. The eloquence of their lyrics is probably what impresses me the most with this band.
