Amazing! The vid looks like it's sepia toned! :) I recall Ash Wednesday in 1983 vividly to this day and the view in my backyard in Geelong was the same. It was 7.30 PM and still about 40 celsius outside and I was shaken because it smelled like smoke and was so hot, it made me think the fires were closer than they were.
Funny you should mention that. I was only one year old at the time and I have only learnt about that event in 1983 briefly in geography classes at school and a couple of poor quality photos in a text book.
When this happened, I was outside with my phone and digital SLR to record some history!
