  • I find the tempo for section A too slow, making that part drag on. As well, the pedaling could be a bit cleaner. Other than that, nice job.

  • @two2birds Thaks for the comment~~

  • I'm learning this one now. I can't figure out whether to put left hand over right in that one sectionm. I've seen it both ways now on utube. My favorite rendition of this on utube is by Rachelk Flowers.. but I'm just an intermediate player, so can't really judge... Have you put utube for Clair de Lune that I could listen too?

  • 0:53-0:55 gets me

  • I don't mind the speed at all - it's a nice change. But yeah, the poor piano is too out of tune to do your playing justice :).

  • I actually liked it. I thought it was good but it just needs some adjustments made though.

  • need a tuning eh!

  • Great interpretation! I think you really got the spirit of it. :-)

Please don't take this as some sort of trolling, but there're two things I didn't understand in your playing: all of the versions that I've heard and also the sheet shows that there are some triplets on the first notes of the melody, this version you play is different in that way or something?

  • @RBSalatino Thank you for the comment. About playing triplets, I guess I made a mistake playing slower than usual. It happens~-.-

  • @RBSalatino

I think he played it slow enough to show expression, however the piano is badly out of tune.

  • oh my gosh, this song's great(: My piano techer got me the sheets, so i'm practicing them today(: Hope i could master it, so pretty~!

  • @FuzorDragon480 Thank you and gooood luck~~!!

  • this sounds a million times better played slowly.

  • Well this was a relief from most other videos that play it too fast :) It should be slow. People need to just calm down and take a breath. The realm of "high art", is so fanatic sometimes. Nice playing.

  • @Oneiromaster I appreciate your comment, I do agree this music should be played slowly~

  • Everyone's saying it's too slow, but I sorta prefer it like this ^^ I laike thish one;;

  • @VampireeEMS Thank you~~:)

  • its really too slow...

  • @EricaYamanaka Imagine too slow dream~:)

  • Debussy left us the gift of composing pieces like this one which in moments of reflection allow us as piano players to play slowly to absorb each note or to play aggressively and with more tempo to ride the waveof the song to it finale

  • @Mathmusiciandlife Thank you for the comment~~!

  • the piano duz need tuning but u play amazing!:)

  • Just beautiful. I learnt this once upon a time, but not from memory. Well done.

  • thank you for playing it slowly. it isn't hard to follow. [i wish to see the hands though']

i can only manage playing with this tempo'- -

  • You're welcome~~

  • Great, it's beautiful. You play very well. There is nothing wrong. Simply perfect. =P

  • Oh, way too slow and your piano is in dire need of proper tuning. It's a shame, as your rendition is otherwise very commendable. Please listen to a professional performance, adjust the tempo accordingly, have your piano tuned and then it's in your very capable hands.

  • Seriously, the piano is def. out of tune.

  • Thank you for taking your time too play it. I don't like the versions when they're going too fast. The song is supposed to be nice, slow, and steady.

  • I love this !!! my friend, a very excellent musician plays this song in chorus and i never get tired of hearing it :)

  • Oh, way too slow. Tempo is 'Andantino sans lenteur'. And way too deliberate, needs to be more legato in order to simply flow. The initial theme should just wash over you, just like a dream. Piano needs tuning.

  • It's about how the musician interpretes the music, not how the componist wants it to be played...that's one of the biggest mistakes if you ask me. Everyone's always wining about the tempo and stuff, but if thís is what the musician thinks this song is about or if this is the feeling he has for the music that's perfect.

I do agree on the tuning part though =P

  • your pianos a little out of tune dont you think? and i personally think its too slow, once again just my opinion.

  • i really want to learn how to play this piece - im sorta a beginner player though. like i catch onto music fast though; should i attempt to learn this?!

  • Comment removed

  • there is only one like of music(hopefully u know wat im talking bout) so its very easy in that manner. and yes you should try

  • to xoxoswimmerxo77

  • your piano is flat

  • not bad :) some mistakes but overall very lovely

  • Klavier verstimmt, aber gut gespielt

  • Wow! This really helps me on trying this peace! it sounds BEAUTIFUL!!!

  • Im only thirteen and just started this peace but i already realy like it!! I dont find it that hard actualy. I think that he plays it a little slow though.

  • It's actually supposed to be slow.

  • i'm practicing this . the rhythm is just so hard .

  • im doing this for my piano final in school. i don't understand why it's so hard for me when i did all of moonlight sonata for my midterm and got an A+ on it...

  • Dieses Klavier ist ja der Horror! Verstimmt bis der Arzt kommt

    Abr gut gespielt

  • Very cool! I like your style on this tune.

Check out my channel, which has some of my own compositions. I would love to compose something for you.

  • i don't like your tempo(s). First i thought it was too slow at the beginning- i could hear each note in the left hand one-at-a-time when it should really be flowing, like a wave of notes just washing in as it starts- well, that's how i think of it when i play it

but it sort of grew on me

    good job :D

  • Nice, but seriously, have your piano tuned! :)

  • I love the part where the melody is divided over the left and right hand, you play that so well. I've tried that for a couple of weeks and still can't play that!

  • you are AMAZING LOL im learning this piece haha

  • I got chills just now listening to you play. Great piece.

  • Wonderful! But do take note of the pedal, don't lift it off too abruptly and your slurs too. But other than that, you did a great job!

  • good job

  • beautiful =)

  • Nota por nota no. Falta union a los arpegios de la mano izquierda.

Ademas, claro, de mayor expresion y matices

  • Hmm ... Piano needs a tuneup? This was nice, a few bobbles - I have a good ear. Although,I hardly play so I can't really say anything. Side note- that was cute how your head was reflecting off the wood.

  • i have been looking for forever to hear somebody play it like this...beautiful

  • Thank you~

  • more dynamics! expression!

  • yes, reverie means dream. and i was able to play this song,,i was..haha

  • what does reverie mean? dream?

  • I think you need to put some POWER in the piece, it has a gorgeous climax!

  • I think the climax was perfect, I hate hearing it rushed.

  • Really enjoyed that. your video is practically a tutorial.I started playing 18 months ago. can I try this piece now? appreciate if you comment.

  • After a year and a half might be a tad early for playing Debussy, but sure, dont sea a reason why you can't try. The piece isn't hard.

  • Lost comment somewhere...anyway thank you for showing the left hand. I am learning to play piano and starting with this piece. I need to see technique to accomplish what I set out to do.

  • Starting with this piece? Ballsy...

  • You play well. :)

the |_3_| in the 6th measure or so was a little off beat, but other than that, you're great! I'm learning this piece right now.

  • You have great feeling when you play, but I do have to say that you sometimes hold the petal too long and it muddles the notes together. I have a problem with this myself, which is why I saw it so easily. Other than that, it's great!

  • You play this piece beautifully, I'm impressed...

  • I've never really liked Debussy, but you play really beautifully.

  • Well, I don't play Debussy very often. It's just, the music was kinda easy, not very fast, so I tried it~

  • Favoritized it. Thanks for this record :-)

  • Thanx~~

  • a very good one for my study reference, saved into my list. Thank you for posting, I started learning this one a couple of weeks ago. it's a joy to watch you play!

  • i believe you play beutifully, the tempo might have to be adjusted though. You have to catch better the emotion so it wil sound like a river of fast flowing water...

You did a nice job! :)

  • I believe a more correct interpretation of "Reverie" is "Daydream". Very pretty - one of my very favorite piano pieces. Thank you.

  • The late romanticism of the French composers such as Debussy's Arabesque No. 1 created the transition from romanticism to impressionism, influencing both art and music.

An absolutely perfect performance of this classic. Very beautiful. Thank you.

  • Wowzers. That I remember, it's the first time I've heard this song. Great piece. I'll have to presume it was played very well hahah. I like it a lot.

  • first to view and comment! i enjoy all your playings! keep up the good work!
