  • its not the same as were they once proudly ran to back in Liskard :( the track seems very boring and slow here as well....:(

  • @mrsoouter yep, they were like caged animals there, hopefully they'll have a decent run on their new railway in oz

  • @CUMMINGSDIESEL

They have a big track to run on here in Australia and are being lovingly cared for.

  • @EastwoodBirds thats good to hear, they were like caged animals here!

  • So sad to hear that the collection has been sold to Oz. A real loss to the UK!

  • What is the story with this railway today? May 2010

  • @TrevorHeath as far as i know the locos have been sold and are either on their way to australia or will be very soon, i'm guessing to same place that brought the other loco, General Palmer. so what will happen to the railway now is anyones guess

  • @TrevorHeath Engines have been sold and shipped to Australia to a chap who lives alongside the Puffing Billy Railway. We haven't heard whether the new railway will be open to the public. There are also unconfirmed reports that possibly a couple of the locos were damaged in transit

  • hi my last responce came out a bit bad as i managed to miss lead some people they way i worded it and im sorry about this as i did affend ian so sorry the correction is that the reason he left weren't high level stuff as this was rumor and i kind of miss understood but was due to other reasons not pedofile which was wat people thought i ment also the track at our site isn't that bad at all it was only that the loco came off in sidings and points on occsions which is wat happens with big locos

  • Is this 7 and 1/4?

  • yep, it is

  • it was been built by a guy called ian rough the loco to 1/8th scale and so far its working last i heard tho atm hes building an s1 but i think its a\t ascot race course in the private railway in centre of the race course. as the ian (the guy who built it) was told to leave our line woking minture railway due to some high level problems that me a 17 yr lad didnt get to here

but love the loco be good to get it on a big line and see how much she can pull

  • be good to see a double header of the only 2 in britain seeming there are now TWO big boys in britain

  • i didn't know that, where's it from and where's it now?

  • glad theyve been saved good luck im green with envy

  • Hope it gets developed a lot more - riding round some grass/a lawn and a few trees is a long way from what Dobwalls was. Good to see they haven't gone too far though.
