the ai in this game isn't so hard as it is cheap. rubberband ai is so painfully obvious. any time you get 40, they hit everything perfectly so they can keep it close.

@theultimateredskin10 I had trouble finding that too. You have to start a new career unfortunately. Change Match Format from Top Spin to Realistic on your new career to get what you want. :)

Hey, i notice the sets only goes to 4 games to the winner before they're won. Is there an option in this game, especially for finals, to have the sets the normal length?

@matthewdamuff Yeah you can play all matches at 5 sets, 6 games per set with tie break, etc... if you want. If you play on Expert like this match was though, then you may end up more tired than Nadal and Djokovic were in the Australian Open. :D

are you sure this is on expert?... the serves should be alot faster... i played normal and the serves are like that... unless its just a recording thing... not trying to put you down or anything.

the hits by the opponent seems abit easy too. just my opinion...

got a question for you... do you think roddick is overpowered? lol... his serve is good... but its really hard to beat him on hard

to bad grand slam tennis is prob not going to better then top spin 4. If they just slow down the pace of the players it will be. I do think top spin 4 is the best tennis game on the market. Hopefully top spin 5 will have hawkeye view thats the only thing it is missing.

nice job...i was level 20... and won 6-0 6-0 6-0 vs. rafael nadal at the finals of the roland garros (french open) @ level expert... but then i deleted all my data to make a PSN account... now i am level 5 and still playing to make my player the way it was before... :P U R REALLY GOOD! Hopefully the exploit move of hitting a power shot thats supposed to set up a run at the net isn't in grand slam tennis. Thats what turned me off from top spin. Playing on line, I realized that mostly everyone was using this and this to me did not feel like real tennis (that I watch or play). And not to have the players bounce the ball prior to a serve was absurd. Thats real tennis. You had me for a few months TP4, but no more. The game I've wanted since 09 is coming.

@horrorfan24 You should be able to see my stats at 00:27. :) I would recommend having high forehand and backhand, with serve in the 80s at least. Keep serving wide against CPU on Expert, then hit it back across court the other side if they return. You should at least win your service games playing this way.

just got this game recently. thanks to your videos i went from winning about half my minors games on one guy to playing in the last masters tournament i need to get to grand slams currently 40-0 on hard without losing a set on another guy. once i play some grand slams or get legend i'll bring the difficulty up.

i was wondering, do you think the different tiers of tournaments have different built-in modifiers to the difficulty? because i play on hard and was kicking butt in the minor but then i got my butt kicked in the major. it's a little hard to believe that the only thing that changes is the average player level. also, i used to kick butt in the demo on hard, i don't see how i can easily beat nadal in the demo, and then get annihilated in the major on the same difficulty

Great game, you really make it look very easy...

I've noticed you always play the power shot, now I've been considering the control shots very useful in certain circumstances, always thought a good mix of the 2 would be the best, might be wrong.

@fezusa I think you are right, it just depends on the situation within the rally. If you're struggling to get to a ball, it's definitely not recommended to do a power shot. Although I just tend to use slice in these circumstances.

If you need to find a way back into a rally then mixing things up can be a good idea and play a more accurate, less powerful shot.

@Svninja10 Give it time and you will become very good too! I would practice the advanced serve because it is much better than the standard buttons one, once you perfect it. The advanced serve uses the analogue sticks.

@thegamerdude853 Beat him in the Wimbledon Final (before starting US Open) which was surprisingly easier than this match against Djokovic (which is why I chose to upload this one). I'll play Nadal again sometime and upload it.

I know, you would kick my ass at this game, because im a baseline defensive player just like Nadal. I do pretty good to be honest, but im no where near as good as you. Alkthough beating Nadal on expert mode at Wimbledon is a good achivement, i would expect the game to be easier since Nadal prefers clay. Ever beaten him on it?

@MrAlcadrios I do my best to get to every ball. :D I've worked a lot on being better at the net in the last few weeks and it really helps when the opportunity is there to close the point. (especially on expert)

Volleys aren't easy to time on this game, unless the ball is coming at you very slow of course. It's so realistic, I love it. Gives you great satisfaction when you play a sweet shot.
