Insincerity and manipulation is never a good foundation for ANY relationship. I have a wonderful relationship with my mother-in-law because of the mutual respect we give the other---it is a two way street.

I have a daughter-in-law--who is manipulative and disrespectful. She tries to "win me over" with these types of tactics and it just reveals what a con she truly is. A woman who truly loves her husband (more than herself) will support the healthy relationship between mother and son.
