Cropping ears is a fighting thing,they do it so the other dog cant get ahold of its ears and rip them up,ears bleed excesivly.A dog can bleed out fast that way.I hope thats not why you had it done! = (

@bodyrockhype You should have pricked her ears instead of cropping them, pricking them is when you tape a Styrofoam cut out the exact shape of the ear out, and leave it there for 3 days and repeat this until they stay up naturally. This can only be done when they are young puppies though.

There is nothing wrong with cropping ears, actually if you are going to show the dog the ears need to be cropped or points will be docked also if youre going to agi/weight pull its better to have the ears gone just for saftey reasons.. Because some breeds of dogs were unsucessful at breeding the ears to be up. If anything by cropping the ears you are keeping what was intended for the breed all along. Beside genetics are MAN MADE not healthy attributes! Man bred dogs to fit his needs! And errect ears are more effienct at catching sound waves. Floppy ears are for that cute look, or to help keep a scent dog less distracted with less sounds. SO yea their is a point to cropping!
