  • In today's world of many trashy women from all walks of life, watching this is very refreshing to the soul 'cause it remind us how innocent and modest a young girl was. I love you, Bernadette!!!

  • Beautiful, thank you. Very edifying. I do not understand why there are *any* dislikes. This listing is entitled "Every photo of St Bernadette" and that is exactly what you get here.

  • I can't believe how beautiful she was and in every photo her face stood out... I don't now how to explain it!

  • Thank you for sharing...such a beautiful video....brought back so many memories, when I was a child and saw "The Song of Bernadette"....the background music was superb...could you tell me what song that is....I would like to add it to my collection....e-mail: hisnamehisglory@aol.com...again, thank you so much...God Bless....

  • Thank you for sharing. GOD bless you and your family. St. Bernadette is my favorite female St. St Francis Being my all time favorite. :o)

  • Bernadette please pray for me.I love you and Mother Mary, and Mother Mary how beautiful you are and blessed will you help me?I have been praying to you lately but I dont know how to pray the rosary and I ask someone to help me with this.Bernadette you went through so much suffering while you were alive so you could go to such a beautiful existence now.

  • @steeplepossum39

the Holy Rosary is a treasure-trove of graces.

May the Blessed Mother and St. Bernadette intercede for you always.

  • The photos speak for themselves. No need to sentimentalize them with the music. Such is the way of the world and its wretched Oprahism. Let's start resisting this.

  • she is an incorruptible, one of the few.

  • Thank you for a wonderful video.

  • thanks for sharing

  • I replied to another video of Bernadette, but this one is wonderful. I am not Catholic, but I don't think it matters. You can see and feel the love from this woman. I feel blessed myself, just having seen these pictures of her in life. Thank you so much for this beautiful video.

  • thank you so much for this life ,i love you SAINT BERNADETTE,and i want to see MOTHER MARY with you,HAIL MARY MOTHER OF GOD PRAY FOR ME

  • I recall Franz Werfel's book, "The Song of Bernadette," which brought her to the attention of many in the world who had not heard of her. He was a Jew who wrote the book in fulfillment of a promise to Our Lady. In it was the inscription, "To those who believe, no explanation is necessary; to those who do not believe, no explanation is possible." I would like to have seen her body, but never had the opportunity. I'll meet her in heaven.

  • I love this video.

Thank you Bernadette for the hope, and God bless all

  • Beautiful, Bernadette was a real Saint, as she was unworldly and innocent and totally without deceipt and shame, despite the suffering she endured in her short life. I am so pleased that Our Lady appeared to her in the way that she did. The folks that didn't believe in her visions were prob jealous that she was chosen by God to see Mary , instead of them !

  • I was born in 1950s in a small village in Europe among peasants and poor people like Bernadet. They were strong, honest, very hard working, simple, humble, happy and devout Catholics.I think I understand who Bernadet was and I am sure that many village boys would have liked to marry her.

  • @meesllk

Im a catholic. Yes there are incidents involving priests. but we need to remember that these priests are also human beings like us who have sinned. But there are many priests and bishops who are doing their best and duties well. Most of the apparitions, The Virgin Mary never forgets to inform us to Help one another and pray for priests and bishops for the enlightenment. I believe in miracle, I personally have experienced. it. God bless

  • You're outed, migely! Hahahahaha! Doesn't matter if you call yourself meesllk, you're still the same old sadsack...Hahahahaha!

  • @czekehazi Hellooo thar mah freend! So, you found pigley migley! His new account is now muselix? Isn't he getting enough fiber? No wonder he's so ornery!

  • meesllk You are definitely on course for Muppet of the year.

  • Hey Bogdan4550 you mention psychiatrists and therapy. Are you projecting your own shit onto me. I bet you have spent a lot of time in psychiatric institutions. Do you still pray to statues and have conversation with them ?

  • @bogdan4550 read your history you ignorant fool, and see what crimes the catholic church committed over the centuries. In Ireland, the church is a fucking disgrace and people have turned against it. That st. bernadette and her religious freak followers needed psychiatric help, with their delusions and lies.

  • @meesllk what a doughnut you are, and very jealous too. You run along now you silly little man, its way past your bedtime.

  • @bogdan4550 what an idiot you are. Why would I be jealous of you hypocrites and pharisees. You are the same type of people who murdered Jesus Christ. Go off and crawl and bow before your corrupt and hypocritical priests and bishops. You are the muppet, a muppet for paedaphile priests and religious freaks and hypocrites who adore money, power and status. I've seen your damage in Ireland and other countries. Shame on you and your church !

  • @meesllk 0 = you = doughnut = muppet man of the year

  • @meesllk i agree that the church has comitted great evils against children and other vulnerable people but you cant say that st bernadette or the virigin mary are responsible for them things, if you read about bernadettes life you would see that she was a truly kind and decent human being who would be appauled at seeing kids hurt and abused, im irish and i dont run to church every week i pray sometimes on my own but i can see that not all priests and catholics are the same.

  • Santa Bernardette, rogai por mim...Santa Bernardette, rogai por mim...

  • What music is this?

  • @0FindGlory I too wanted to know the name of the music. I searched back in the earlier comments, the reply was that it was from the soundtrack to the film Dragonheart but didn't know the name of the piece. I looked and found that it is the track called Wonders of an Ancient Glory from the soundtrack of the film. (I think here it's been looped to play longer because you'll find it in another YOUTUBE video and it lasts about 2:23).

  • wonderful....

  • GET LOST!!! You just enve her most probably because you never happened to encounter any miracle yet!!!

  • Thank you very much for sharing GOD's children with us.

  • The music and great pictures gave me a feeling of comfort and love, thank you.

  • Unfortunately what most people are not told is that her body is in fact decomposing. Yes slower than many, but she is stiff as a board, her skin is blackened and falling off, and her face and hands had to be covered with a wax mask to hide the horrible black sunken skin that was there. Don't take my word for it, simply research the medical reports of Dr Talon, the physician who first examined her. She was a great woman, but her body is certainly corruptable.

  • @truthbtold2u1 dr talon also noted that he was dumbfounded as to how her body was still in remarkable condition when he examined her in 1909 and again in 1919, he also noted that the mucles were for the most part still intact and that their was some blackening of the extremities but nothing consistent with an individual who has been buried for 30/40 years respectively, coupled with the numerous medically inexplicable cures since 1858 plus a spring that was dug up by a 14 yo kid and still runs.

  • @hargohargo2 Like I said, i do not dispute that her remains are surprisignly intact, but you have to admit, from the accounts, that she is in fact decaying, just at a much slower rate than expected. People have tried to explain the possible causes of this, such as the fact that there was charcoal in her casket, indicating they may have burned paper inside the casket whilst sealing it to remove all the oxygen. Charcoal also absorbs moisture which would slow down decay.

  • @hargohargo2 You HAVE to admit, that the medical report also stated that she was as "stiff as a board", this indicated rigor mortis, which is not supposed to be present in incorruptible bodies. And also that there were large amounts of salt in the coffin, this indicates some kind of preservation technique was used. The skin had also disappeared in places. This all points to her decomposition.Even if delayed, this is still decomposition. There is evidence of bodies in similar states in other faiths

  • Pray for me please

  • Resembles a young Ingrid Bergman.

  • @paraconti She reminds me of jennifer jones

  • Thank you, Great Video!!

  • she looks so matured on her early age honestly!

  • Thank you so much. God bless you and all here.

  • Angelic face.. soo lovely.. thank you soo much for sharing her photos. St. Bernadette pray for us.

  • She was a true Saint..

I`ve loved Bernadette since I was a young girl

57 now, I still love her!

  • Thank you so much for this beautiful tribute. The others could not see Mary as Bernadette did. But they came to believe Bernadette because of the spring but even before that, because of the transformation that came over Bernadette when she saw Mary...even if it was but reflected light...they saw it .

  • Saint Bernadette is a saint of poor people with illness, thank you Saint Bernadette for giving us a better direction!

  • Thank you !

    She was beautiful!

  • These pictures are amazing. Whenever I am feeling sad or depressed, I always watch videos of Saint Bernadette. She is truly a miracle. If people only knew her story of unselfish love and love for others.

  • thank you...

  • Dear Ryan,I am very happy now, that I can see the real Saint Bernardette, thanks to You,Lovely Ryan.

  • this is beautifull im not a religous person in fact i would be a lapsed christian however there is something about this young girl that makes me want to sit up and take notice, i hope to visit lourdes one day and see the grotto.

  • @The22clowns You should read "Bernadette of Lourdes" by René Laurentin. It's more captivating than the pictures.

  • @r3ality357 hello sorry for not replying sooner, i will look for that book thank you george

  • I was a catholic for many years and helped the church in many ways. But, most of my fellow catholics were back-stabbers, gossipers, slanderers, thieves, liars, bullies, and nasty in so many ways. And they went to mass on sundays and holy days and they went to Lourdes, Fatima and Rome etc. but they had rotten fruits. Jesus said "it is by their fruits that we shall know them". I saw their rotten fruits and I quit the catholic church !

  • Why did you come to this site, I bet you are one of those jealous atheists. Go away and don't leave any more stupid messages on this site.

  • @bogdan4550 . Firstly I am not an atheist. Secondly I am not jealous of you catholics who are hypocrites and serve satan on daily basis. I have seen your rotten fruits, your paedaphile priests and bishops, your back-biters, gossipers and back-stabbers, your greedy and selfish people, your murderers, inquisitions and rapists, your conquests and oppression, your corrupt politicians. I know who ye are. I won't be going away. I am here to stay and show ye what ye really are !

  • @meesllk Get some therapy idiot, go and see a psychiatrist he may be able to help you with your delusion, you muppet.

  • @meesllk

i'm a born and raised as roman catholic and yes your'e right i really really hate those people who has that kind of attitude or something and sadly most of the people that i hate are can be found in my religion but not all the catholics are like that !

  • @6digit I was Confirmed at Easter (61 years old ) and it was wonderful for me, I love going to Mass and hearing about Our Lady, we have the Crowning of Mary this sun so I am looking fwd to that as it will be the first time I have been part of it. I was converted when I saw the Pope last year when he came to the UK.

  • If the humble are exalted, how come you have bishops, cardinals and popes sitting on thrones and living in palaces ? Where is the humility there ?

  • This video made me cry, it is so beautiful. St. Bernadette is my patron saint. I wish I could go to Lourdes and Nevers, but I can't. I pray to her every day, I pray to her now for an increase in faith so I might love Jesus and Mary more like she did. St. Bernadette, pray for us! Divine Mercy, have mercy on us and on the whole world!

he hath scattered the proud in the conceit of their heart.

He hath put down the mighty from their seat,

and hath exalted the humble" (Luke 1,46...)

We all must learn by this great little girl: the Virgin Mary may help us to be humble and simple as Her Son.

Peace and good to all you!

    Francesco

  • You have helped me to complete my work here, something I should have done a long time ago... and for `Little Sister` thank you ... take care..nh

  • Thanks for putting this together with perfect music. Brings back memories one of my trips to France where I went to Lourdes & Nevers. Bernadette Soubirous was pretty fantastic!

  • This is a magnificent video. I've read many books about St. Bernadette and seen many pictures, but to see them all together is an inspiring experience. Thank you!

  • Thank you!

  • Sancta Bernadette Ora Pro Nobis

  • how great to have such collection of St Bernadette's pictures, God Bless you too

  • does she has a picture before with out that thing surrounds on her head plus why did she wear that is that part of their culture by wearing on there heads before in France?

  • she looks like a serious type of person but according in other site which has also related to her she also kind of women who has a sense of humor!

  • You know, I'm deeply touched by this video. It's beautiful, thank you very much.

  • thanks thanks thanks bernadet soubirous we love verry mhats

  • thanks bernadet whe sie youaigain

  • Where is her casket?

  • does the Hollywood has a plan to make another life story of this women?

on her photos she looks so matured and very serious type person, what she looks like when get smile?

  • @6digit I guess we'll never know, since these are "Every" one of the photos ever taken of her.

That makes me think of something. Has anyone else ever seen anybody of God's service ever smiling in a picture? I believe I've seen Mother Teresa smile in a photo before, but no other Sisters or Saints. Kind of odd.

  • @viciousbloodbath People back then did not have the advanced cameras we do today. It would take a really long time just to take one picture, so most of the time people would not smile - your muscles would hurt by the end after all that long time smiling! But I am sure there are some pics of some of the saints smiling. =)

  • @Bananas2196 Are you saying this was an age before flash-bulb photography?

  • @viciousbloodbath I believe it was, but then again, there could be other reasons. Like, maybe Bernadette was too shy to smile for a photo, or back then it was a rule not to smile. Who knows? But I am sure Saint Bernadette smiled every once in a while during her time here on Earth.

  • @6digit

is this really what caught your attention? a smile? i pity you

  • @namma37 It was just an observation that I thought was bizarre since you know, God is about Love and kindness. Kindness is attributed to a smile. Do you smile much?

  • Thank you very much...:)

  • @babapiskota94 you are most welcome

  • may i know what title of the music played on that video ?

based on what i read about her life, she's so very lucky to be the part of God's life not only on earth but also in heaven where she lives now, no wonder why her body is still fresh because that's God's will not only to her but also to tell to all of us that the heaven and God is real!

  • Мария-Бернарда Субиру победила смерть. Её фотографии смотрят, ее жизнь изучают. Она заставила себя помнить и это действительно достижение. За нее можно порадоваться. Хорошая подборка, спасибо!

  • im sorry, who was she,i just came accross this video, she looks so pettite and beautifull, as beautifull asleep as alive, i believe what she is holding is somthing to do with the catholic church, would sombody please tell me about her.

  • Bernadette saw apparition of Jesus Christs mother where she received messages from Her, she entered the convent with only 2 knew about the apparition, the Mother Superior & Mistress Novice. She had suffered a lot as this mistress does not believe Bernadette. Bernadette had knee tuberculosis & they only knew it in stage 4 meaning terrible pain. Thats the time the mistress acknowledged that she was truly a martyr kneeling everyday even in pain. She died & canonized as saint of Catholic Church.

  • Having been to Lourdes and visited the places where she lived, walked, and prayed, I feel truly blessed to have been touched by the grace and love of the grotto of Lourdes. For those who want to see her today, her incorrupt body lies in the glass coffin at the convent in Nevers, France. Don't believe the Hollywood story. Believe her life.

  • The story behind the Hollywood story is pretty amazing in its own right. The film was adapted from Das Lied von Bernadette, a novel written by an Austrian Jew named Franz Werfel. While fleeing Nazi persecutors, Werfel stopped at Lourdes. There, the faith of the people restored his faith in humanity, which as you can imagine had taken some pretty nasty knocks.

  • You're right about the story behind the story. I remember reading that book many years ago and I also read about the author's journey and his stay in Lourdes during WWII. A wonderful story.

  • Another fun tidbit: When Werfel learned that Linda Darnell had been cast to play the Blessed Mother, he threw a fit. Having posed for some cheesecake photos, Darnell enjoyed a repuation as a sex kitten, and Werfel threatened to yank the rights to his work unless the producers replaced her with someone less scandalous.

In the end, the producers double-crossed Werfel, keeping Darnell in the role, but disguising her in an extra-bulky habit and striking her name from the credits.

  • You sound like you're in the business. Our son is a cinematographer. We often get lots of good tidbits like that. I remember how Linda Darnell looked and there was a bit of a fuss when she was cast in the role. The book was better than the film but it was still a good one with a little literary license thrown in.

  • Man, don't I wish I was in the business. In actual fact, I'm a severely underemployed writer who loves Hollywood trivia. Good thing Werfel never learned Jennifer Jones was messing around with the married David O. Selznick, or else we might have had to suffer Vivien Leigh playing St. Bernadette.

  • LOL! I had heard that. And this was at a time in the U.S. when Ingrid Bergman got ostrasized for her fling with Rosselini! I'll keep you in my prayer that you get a paying job soon. Let us know, ok?

  • You sound like you're in the business. Our son is a cinematographer. We often get lots of good tidbits like that. I remember how Linda Darnell looked and there was a bit of a fuss when she was cast in the role. The book was better than the film but it was still a good one with a little literary license thrown in. BTW, a really good film on her was made by St. Ignatius Press. Excellent film.

  • She is beautiful and I am happy to see more of her picturesThank you for the pictures. Is there a video of her also?

    Where is she resting now?

  • Chales009,

I believe she lies in the convent of the Sisters of Charity, the order she belonged to, in Nevers, in France.

  • i love her...

  • Grazie! Bellissimo.

  • Faith and love will lead you along a path unknown to you, to the place where God is hidden.

  • I am not worthy! I am not worthy! I am not worthy! May Canada and France forgive me!

  • This is beautiful!

  • Ave Maria !

  • As I understand it, Bernadette wasn't exactly clamoring to get into the convent...she'd been more or less pressured to enter because of the events surrounding her. If that's true, I think it's very sad that a vibrant young woman had to live out her life in such a way. If she wanted it, that's entirely different.

  • @elfbride . You are exactly right. The Hollywood movie just touched on her reluctance to enter the convent, but in reality, she did not want to go. She was indeed pressured to become a nun because of the events of her past. I believe this is why she developed Tuberculosis, she felt powerless in her lfe to make a decision, and she was surrounded by very strict and mean nuns who were jealous of her. In truth, her adult life was truly wasted in needless physical pain! Very sad indeed!

  • if you read the letters she sent to people from the convent she openly expresses how pleased she was to be there, also Bernadettes journal gives the feeling she loved her vocation, as for her developing TB because she became a nun, sheer nonsense

  • @forStBernadette Thank you for setting buffedtrainer straight. She suffered intensely from the pain of her illness and tried to hide it. I have no idea why anyone would think her suffering was caused because she became a nun. She was chosen by Our Lady and she lived up to everything that Our Lady asked of her. The Hollywood movie was inaccurate historically on at least one point. The priest who was her parish priest and her confessor died before she did. Such a beautiful saint!

  • Quite a few saints suffered in community. St. Faustina Kowalska's sisters thought of her as white trash, and treated her accordingly. I hesitate to blame community life for St. Bernadette's tuberculosis, though. Back in the nineteenth century, it as a major killer; no one was safe. St. Bernadette might have caught it no matter what calling she'd followed.

  • this is sooooo beautiful !!!! God Bless!

  • Pray for us all and america.

  • May God Bless you, my Child

  • Are those real real photos of St. Bernadette? They are very beautiful!

  • This amazing collection is indeed a spiritual treasure for posterity. Despite her brief life of 35 years in which she endured so quietly and courageously intense suffering from acute poverty and ill health, her spirit could not but be happy at how powerfully she influenced Christian belief. In these photos we are able to gaze into the very eyes which saw Holy Mary, Mother of God! May God bless the creator of this unique video.

  • If motorbikes had existed in Bernadette's day, she might have been on one! And she probably would have befriended Hell's Angels too. People think of her merely as "sweet," but she was a feisty little girl from what people thought was the "lower class." Her Dad, even though he was a good man, had been imprisoned at one time. Her Superiors in the convent sometimes called her "too salty," meaning too rough or earthy. Again, my kind of girl!

  • She was stunningly beautiful....inside and out. Pray for us, Saint Bernadette.

Thank you for the time you put into the video...it is wonderful.

  • Oh my...what a blessing.. Where some of these pictures hard to find???

A Catholic Nun Sr. Teresita named me Bernadette, my mother wanted to call me Karen, or MaryLynn, glad the Sister had her way..lol

  • Oh, yes, FerventInPrayer, your name is much better than the other suggestions!

  • That took alot of work... absolutely fabulous... LM
