Yeah, great place to base a trip from. Adrian Ruiz from S.F. was the first, sad, 24 years old. 50% of reservations were canceled after the "3" attacks in a week. Maybe a discount this year and less people in the water. Just trying to put a positive spin on a tragic story.
Bunch of us from VA and AK met last Jan 08 in La Saladita. Waves were decent. Hung out at Lourdes's bar at night. Anyone been there?? Best kept secret on Mexico's Pacific Coast!!

Manzanillo Bay Inn is the best place! Surfing saladita is a dream for me as a goofy. I am going there this week and I cant wait!
