@olac454 i wouldnt say high end but it's much better then 2D. For very high end i would consider Cnc Generals which was about 2 years after this but there was no game to rivel it's graphics, Sorta like crysis now.

One of the finest balanced games every made for ground warfare.

However ground warfare is 2D and you need a mind that can see 3D in real time. Thus the Air lift Air drop comes into play. Once you realise this... Harkkon is the most powerful force. You move their inf to some kind of ground cover infront of a base as an "Assault Defender" The enemy attacks and you drop your Dreadnots in. Their whole base is burned to the ground under 30seconds. Nothing can withstand a 5 dreadnot drop in base.

This game is amazing, the Sardaukar are incredibly badd-ass units! Dune 2000 is grand as well. The music in this vid was my fav track from Dune 2k. Epic!

I loved how in this version, they allowed you to blend and choose your clans in Skirmish modes. Computers are too easy though :[

IM SO GLAD Dune2000 was my FIRST RTS GAME. Since 1st Grade. I never understood the story line then, but i just loved the gameplay!

It didnt occur to me till last year that most games out there suck. I just so happen end up with the Biggest Hits.

Love this game. Have reached all endings.

What saddens me is that after a certain point, the territories left to conquest all have the plain goal of vanquishing the enemy and capture the region.

Repetitive special missions aren't a step-up, but I wish each territory had it's own mission and level design characteristic.

Still, all in all, a fantastic RTS.

You should try beating the game with other factions. The game has a nonlinear storyline with different endings depending on the side you choose. The choice is yours, commander.
