  • Fantastic. I like your voice and the way youre playing.

I seen all your "performance" on Youtube. I loved it.

    Thanks!!

  • Thing about Woody's songs... They're just as true today as they were when they were made.

  • wow! what a song. In my younger years I would disappear to Mexico. I would travel in the old busses and trains to be near the people. When I would be coming back to El Norte my travel companions would tell me stories about crossing the border, hiding from La Migra so they could find work and support the family. They risk their lives to come here and do jobs that nobody wants. They would offer me food and laugh at my stupid jokes, such spirit and soul. thnx for the song.

  • Great performance.I have checked out a lot of other versions on YouTube, but your vesion is my favorite number one! To be honest, it is far beyond any others. Thanks!

  • Many thanks. If you can, listen to Barbara Dane's funky-bluesy version from 1963.

  • Great Version -- love the tuning -- we have a version of this son too.

  • Very nice--great song!

  • APPROVED BY THE ANGEL OF MUSIC

  • Beautiful rendition of a great song!

  • A very haunting and beautiful version. I love the musical quality of your voice.

  • This is a heartbreaking song. It's a disgrace to realize that it's truer than ever today, all these many years after Woody Guthrie penned the lyrics. Beautiful version, alonzo...thank you.

  • Very good version...Most people don't fully understand the lyrics.

    Muy Bien.
