  • Starcraft Gaming shud become a Sport ;P

    thumbs up if u agree

  • @BradenR3 it's more than that. It's a religion in Korea.

  • @mawerickkk

    nooooooo

    wayyyyyy more than that

    its a Gaming Legend D: ;D

  • zerg lost because terran got behind his base early, and kept him on the defensive from the beginning.when you're devoting time and energy to killing enemies already in your base, your weakened force is no match for the fresh units that your enemy has been building while he's attacking you.that's why you need to always attack.

  • Zerg never recovered from those early losses, could never get any ground troops to go with his mutalisk and also seemed to lose them a bit too easy at different times.

  • Very exciting and suspenseful match. Thought Zerg was going to come back from that little set back but Terran just got stronger.

  • this is a starcraft video why are we talking about Poker?

  • Fantastic forum about Starcraft! scfan.fora.pl/

  • zerg loses cuz they lose a drone when they build something. SCV's dont.

it gives more time to terrans and doesnt make them lose units

  • @MrGreenJello all the races are balanced. that is not the reason why

  • @MrGreenJello Lol, nope, Zerg lost this game because the Terran played better, not because Terran is stronger than Zerg.

  • @MrGreenJello Thats stupid.

  • @twinafhell definetely rofl never heard such a stupid thing

  • he's 20 tableing the mid stakes at full tilt poker at the moment

  • pro zergs always lose!! WHY?!

  • @fasthandsz If pro zergs always lose, why has Jaedong, a Zerg player, won 5 starleagues?

  • @vOddy75 Jaedong means "smallpenis" in korean

  • dont call this sport in america "football", its handegg idiot

  • lol starcraft to korea is like football to america xD

  • lol

  • Power overwhelming D:

  • damn, wish i could play as well as these guys and still have girls dig me, lol! stupid America! why couldn't you have chicks like that? lol

  • America has poker. Enough said.

  • Comment removed

  • america has predator drones too, they cost about 2 mil to make. since we got them to we'll be ok

  • @Jacky1492 lol... drones of all kinds already exists in our modern warfare technology... if you think about it, the satellites are remotely controlled bombs, lol

  • 2:42 Its Sun !! From Lost !

  • LOL

  • Just letting you guys know, Byun EunJong is a poker player now. He plays frequently at Full Tilt Online Poker in $1/$2 cash games.

  • i love the expressions on byuns face, hahahaaa

  • boxer?

  • yeap

  • chess is also not a sport.

it is only 2 guys sitting their asses off and moving a few figures.

    *irony off*

  • AMARA TSI TO MEO!

    JOng JONG nTOre MI tA!¬

  • To everyone who says this game is not a sport: it is a sport. If you know how to play the game, you'd realize how complex everything is and how many actions per minute there are (think it's around 300, that's 5 clicks per second, and it's not random clicks).

The whole sweat thing is bullshit. Golf is somehow a sport, and so is poker. I still play soccer and football on a semi0pro level for uni, and I'd say learning StarCraft is a HELL of a lot harder.

  • It is not a sport its a game, I play it all the time, it is just a video game, it will never be a sport, I play halo on xbox live, is that a sport to you too? sitting on your ass and moving a mouse and pressing a few hotkeys is not a sport. I am not saying they dont work hard, they devote their lives to this game and make money off it, but it is not a sport. sport-Physical activity that is governed by a set of rules or customs and often engaged in competitively.

  • it is a physical activity you move your hands so its actually a sport isnt it you smartass its officially called a sport so who are you some porr guy with no education to tell what is a sport since its a national sport in south korea how are you gonna argue with that. At least dont talk when you dont know the case nooby

  • your grammar and spell are horrific. So according to you I am competing in a sport every time i jack off or take a piss. ;) I do love starcraft but it is not a sport. It is a VIDEO GAME. And nerd-speak is improper on Youtube. South Korea supports a lot of things I wouldn't agree with, so you're gonna take their word that its a sport? As I said before it is a VIDEO GAME.

    Thank you

    Chris

P.S. your name sucks be more original next time.

  • Man sorry to tell you that but this is a sport all over the words every country accepts officially this as an electronic sport and not only this game but i guess you are too stupid to know that before saying its not a sport people dont care if you dont agree with that its made official by the worlds and no matter how much you denie it its a fact. And by the way who wins in pissing ?In starcraft the winned is the one who destroys the opponent's buildings first!!

P.S my name was made for you :)

  • Actually, it is a sport. I'm a former bboy who's a poker player now but unlike poker, Starcraft is a sports. Better player will always outplay the amateur. Yes, it doesn't require physical activity but it's consider mental sports, just like chess, backgammon, and etc. Not any random idiot can join starcraft and crush the pros while any random idiot can enter poker and win.

  • Golf is a sport

    Starcraft is a MENTAL sports

    Chess is a MENTAL sports

Poker is NOT a sport. When the game is heavily depended on a chance, then it defies the essence of sports. I can sit down anyday and crush Phil Ivey on certain days while I cannot crush Anand or Lim Yo Hwan, not even a single game.

  • Golf is a sport?

I'd like to see the same fat people play football or soccer with me who play golf and drive around on the little pussy wagon while on the golf greens.

And I'm not saying poker is a sport, but go look at some debates.

  • Yes, Golf is a sport. Are you telling me Tiger Woods is not a sports player? Golf requires accuracy and good control of projectile. Don't use miniature golf as your example to say golf is not a sport. Those "fat people" will not be able to hit optimally as trained golf players. Any of us will not stand a chance against Tiger Woods or Michelle Wie but any of us will be able to crush Phil Ivey in poker. Golf is a physical activity where skilled player will outplay unskilled players everytime.

  • So according to you, I guess basketball is not a sport since I also know "fat people" who cannot play soccer, run, bboy, and aren't agile enough to do most activities but they play center position and just jump up and down and dunk, nothing else. As I said, Golf and Starcraft are both sports. Golf is a physical sport while Starcraft is a mental sport. I don't know why you feel offended and have to insult golf. My father plays golf. I'm not a fan of golf but at the same time, I'm not ignorant.

  • lol..poker isnt a sport? it depends on chance? do you realize how many professional chess players switch to poker because it's more challenging? of course chance is involved but you can't say that the multi millionaire pros are all just realllly lucky over the coarse of their lives. doyle brunson has been playing for decades and has amassed over 100 million dollars. but, i guess he's just lucky..lol

  • @brianwillson1

No. People turn from Chess to poker because it's more profitable, not because of the level of challenge. Recall Ylon Schwartz(WSOP 2008 Main Event 4th place finisher)? If you ask me, Chess is more challenging than poker. And yes, I'm aware of professional poker players who accumulate millions of dollars per year. But learn to differentiate between a game of skill and a sports. Are you telling me a game of Monopoly is a sport also just because it requires skills as well?

  • @brianwillson1

Poker is a game of skills but it is not a sport. One thing that eliminates an activity from being considered a sport is if there's huge amount of chance involved. Poker has just that, which automatically gets disqualified. Skill game? yes. Sport? no. Learn to differentiate. People like Phil Ivey, Doyle Brunson, Dwan have more skills than majority of the people in the world but I can give you countless number of people who have crushed them, whether it's 1 tourney/sng/cash game.

  • Every sport is a game of skill..let me explain. kicker for a football team..complete skill. you dont know how hard the wind is blowing in order to make that field goal. same situation as poker. the kicker adjusts as best he can and hopes his attempt is correct. better kicker, better adjustments. same as poker, better player, better adjustments. i agree there is chance involved. but no sport has the COMPLETE advantage to where one team will ALWAYS win based on skill. people get hurt, teams lose

  • Comment removed

  • 1 pro sports team doesn't always beat other team because they don't play optimally every single day. For example, there are games when Denver Nuggets will beat LA Lakers. Why did Nuggets beat them? Because Nuggets were in better shape and more optimal than Lakers during THAT day. But same does not apply for poker. You can play your A-game and still lose in poker because of heavy variance involved. Game is not considered a sport if there's heavy amount of luck/chance involved.

  • I do not know why poker players feel offended when poker doesn't get considered a sport. Whether it's sports or not, who gives a shit? You know this better than I do but what matters in the end for poker players is, who makes or has more money in the end. Whether you play basketball, baseball, starcraft, poker, etc Poker is about making money consistently using your skills.

  • poke and chess are not sports. just b/c something is hard to do doesn't make it a sport. for example its hard for me to suck my own dick but that doesn't make it any kind of sporting event.

  • the right one looks like hes gonna fall asleep everytime^^

  • Well though the terran did some mistakes in the beginning and the zerg used that but nevertheless terren well done! Nice!

  • heh there is a lot of strategy in starcraft and if you have no strategy and just build based on luck you're not guna be very good =(

  • "looks like a fun game"

  • aaaaaaaaaaahahahahahaahahahaha

  • Actually, the game does require a lot of strategy and micro, the game requires the player to utilize every unit to the max, which is VERY hard to do!

  • Which is micro? isn't it? :P

  • sure, but to clarify this for people that don't know what micro means.

  • yeah but they use bots for that shit

  • Have you any proof?

  • yes. yes i have.

  • Can I see it? I didn't know they used bots? Seems a tad strange if they get paid to use bots ;I

  • yeah dude there was a lot of cheating

  • I wish there was English commentary

I can hardly see what's going on, I'm not very good at Starcraft

  • these guys are amazing they control every single unit so well and that's one of the hardest things to master in my opinion

  • nice game

  • when i play zerg i like to rush with overlords first and then send in hydraulisks and ultralisks, it totally freaks the enemy out, escpecially when you send in about 100 overlords.

  • lol

  • well except when they kill them, and you cant send in the hydralisks and ultralisks,

  • They take this so serious in South Korea. I love starcraft but dam

  • well WoW kids arent loser but VICTIMS

  • victims of fun?

  • nope

  • Farming stuff ain't fun

  • sure, but bet u 11 million of them find questing, pvping, raiding fun, and half of them prolly find farming fun too

  • And all 11m will kill themselves if they got banned.

  • wrong.

  • Comment removed

  • Lmfao.

    Okay delete your account?

You'll be dead within a week.

  • omg, you poor bastard. you are saying that all 11million of the subscribers play competitively, in touneys and will suicide if they were banned. you are one messed up bastard. - no shit anyone would be mad if their account was banned for no reason - they paid for that shit before hand - but not even close to suicide. i have stopped playing wow for over 2 years after my friend got his acc banned - look! im still alive.

  • and i thought WoW kids were losers

  • i dont understand why they always look sad after the game. i cant tell who won or lost T_T

  • GEI!!! GEI!!!!!!!!!!! LAWL.

  • they both played incredibly good

  • lol @ the sad chinko

  • WEAK ASS NUBS NO SKILLS WHAT SO EVER.

  • you're clueless and you know it

  • This was a reply to UPLOADVIDEOS79

  • nah No goooD Zergs...

    U nid a perfect combination...

why dont u use a guardian and a hydralisk....

    together with lurker

    I Live for the !!!!!!!Swarm!!!!!!!!!

  • nice english., asshole.

    =.=

  • what's up with the zerg guys base?

  • lolx stupid. They are one of the best Starcraft players in the world! They even have company sponsors! What are you saying "the players are weak?" eh?

  • well lol they made it past tons of other korean players so either they got lucky or they are good

    ^_^

  • LAWLZ the terran player is not bad

he is slayers boxer and probably the most achieved starcraft player

  • "limyohan vs byun eun jong The fifth " - retard uploader! You are perfectly right, the terran IS boxer, wtf is it with this dumb shit video uploader?

And yes pathetic fucks saying that they are noobs rofl... Slayers boxer is the best starcraft player in the world dumb fucks.

  • god i hate the human race

  • boxer is a fucking boss

  • man.,.. they look stressed...

  • what would happen to korea if starcraft suddenly dissapear

    mass suicide?

  • yeah Starcraft will suddenly dissapear...

    LOL funny idea though...

  • nice, respekt!! =)

  • haha dalton , its alswasys funny to see , what people would have done better.

    Youre just a noob

  • u see zerg lose to the same thing every time mm, tanks, and vessles... y he would get mutas is beyond me that was retarded. also with better micro the terran could of won in begin by killing off the unproteced lurk in begin or by brining in his wraiths on the second mm and bats attack. i know these guys are pro but the zerg had a pretty NOOB base to allow that

  • boxer made over $300,000 one year in sponsorships and tournament winnings...

  • well, its his job, you know

  • Making more money than you could ever dream to.

  • I have a question. What's a proxy build?

  • in the new game they call pylons proxy pylons and it allows u to teleport your units there but other than that idk does anyone know when the new one comes out

  • pilons are not called proxy pilons because you can teleport units there cuz you just cant teleport units there.a proxy pilon is a hidden pilon proxy buildings are hidden buildings for example you hide a pilon a robo and a bay and reaver haras him

  • pylons man

  • hidden buildings for example 2 gates on the middle of the map or 2 racks to rush him really fast

  • I have nothing against Americans, but I have to say, Asia is not the fattest continent. Korean men are generally fit because 3-year training in the army is obligatory.

  • Even before the army, most Korean men are pretty skinny..

Because the staple diet in Korea differs from that of USA.

Korea = rice / more vegetables

USA = starch filled things :)

  • Excuse me??? rice=carbohydrate

  • your soooooooooooooooo right lol

  • HAHA! Have you ever watched the movie 'supersize me'? It says there that the fattest people are in the US. 4/10 Americans are fat! Idk if its tue but that's the movie says.

  • Lol, yeah, 4/10 are overweight, but only 2/10 are actually obese.

  • what? both are kidding... obese are 2/3...read some articles about it!

  • what does this have to do with starcraft¿?

  • Hey, Ascension100, gay ass....

Koreans are good in star craft, nigger...

What do you mean, all koreans do is rush?

Atleast, they don't suck at starcraft, bung hole....

Gosh, if you don;t know anything about this, shut the hell up...

  • hey

    don't insult koreans

    we just play

    because we like it

  • i aprecciate koreans..for playing this awesome game...and bieng the best at it

  • This is when boxer was untouchable.

  • Koreans are one the most hard working cultures out there. They dominate anything they take serious. These guys train 10- 12 hours a day. I know its stupid but its a work ethic that would dwarf all of your achievement in life. TOOL!!!!

  • you dont know shit punk ass vag quirt

  • ROFL NICE! Props

  • they make money dont they? theyll get more publicity than ull ever get. and stop coming on 2 videos if all your gonna do is trash them up

  • yeah they get paid, even more when they win tournaments

  • Zerg was an idiot for dragging this game out as long as he did. Anybody who plays starcraft should know that in a fight t v z, the terran will almost always get mass marines. Only reason this lasted so long was because the terran got wraiths which made no sense since he got a vessel to iradiate potential air like gaurdians anyway. Zerg choice for structure build was horrible also, i saw that mineral rape coming a mile away.

  • he was probably rushing, like what most Korean players do

  • LOL all koreans do is rush.

  • at least they pwn u with it.

  • Just 1 or 2 guardians and Zerg would've won...

  • Irradiate.

  • i like e-sports

  • Starcraft is a awesome sport. That's right, starcraft is NOT a game but a sport. It is fun, smart, and kickass.

  • how is it a sport? there is no physical exercise whatsoever

  • Is there in chess?

  • mah it doesnt matter... its all for arguments sake... lets all agree though that it is fun to play :P

  • Only chess nerds think chess is a sport...

  • If it doesn't make you sweat, then it's not a sport. It's a game.

Simple rule, works well. And hilarious to mock golfers with :)

  • Do you call Poker a sport?

If not, re-think the sweat idea, because it is very possible to sweat under nervousness.

  • I do not consider Poker a sport, no. And if we're gonna count nervous sweating, then blind dating would be a sport ;D

I was more thinking in the lines of sweating from physical activities :) But I see how you're thinking. If people want to call it a sport, fine by me. I won't change my opinion though.

  • Fair enough xD

    BUT COME ON MAN...

    STARCRAFT IS TOTALLY A SPORT!!!!!!!

  • Definitions. Words. It takes tremendous skill to play SC, Chess or Golf at a professional level. No matter the narrow-minded definition of 'sport' you cling to, what these guys do is pro and they outrank millions of other players.

  • I NEVER said that games can't be played professionally or that they don't require a ton of skill to be on top, now did I?

As you said yourself, it's all definitions. You have yours, and I have mine. Get a better argument if you're gonna try to convince someone than simply calling them narrow-minded.

  • I never said you did. Also, I called your definition of sport narrow-minded, not you. ^^

Words are what people make of them. That's what I am trying to say. And eSport is a preeeetty accepted term these days, so there. ;)

  • Well, since most of your response consisted of explaining that the players are skilled, I guessed that's how you read my message. And calling a persons definitions narrow-minded is pretty much the same as calling the person him/herself narrow-minded too, just so you know :) At least that's how the receiver will read it.

But yeah, I know it's pretty accepted. I think it is to make it sound better to the public, so it gets accepted easier. I still say that Starcraft is a game, though! A great one

  • Also, sorry if I sounded harsh at first. I thought you were gonna get hostile, just like 99% of all youtubers who have a different opinion.

  • No problem, but Soccer is a game too. Let's agree to disagree over this terminology. ;)

Discussions on the internet, especially over such a limited medium as YouTube reactions, often lead to misinterpretations. And the amount of real jerks around here makes that even more likely to happen. :P

Anyway, we agree on SC being a great game. That'll do for me. ;)

  • Haha, yeah that sounds good :) Cheers!

  • sometimes i wonder how the future of those SC pro-gamers will look like. 10-15 years in the future, new generation, few even remember SC. the gamer kids became adults. 2 guy sit in a bar and start to talk. "i was the 2.nd best SC player." "..." "sorry, but... WTF is SC?" "..." "I know. i wasted my youth."

    or an even worse reaction:

"SC?! hahaha, r u serious? playing games as a profession. rofl, at that time i wrote my diploma. kid, gtfo!"

  • Sure, it *might* end up like that. And it might not. Computer tournaments have only gotten big in the last like, 10 years? And seeing how mankind is getting more and more technological, and that Starcraft is the granddaddy of all RTS, there's still a chance it will have some street cred later on :)

BUT, none of us can see into the future, so why bother arguing about it \o/

  • they will play SC 2 10-15 years in the future most likely. starcraft is 10 years old right now. your dumb as fuck, everything is different in good korea. why does it seem like all the tournaments you search for on youtube of RTS games are in korea? because they treat them like sports. and who says they arent? dumbass

  • "dumb as fuck", "dumbass " ???

your mother would be proudest of all hoes on 13th avenue if she could hear you. i hope u like my little return gift.

before i read ur comment, i wanted to give u some very good arguements and a possibly interesting discussion, but with insulting psychos like you, there is simply no possible way of communication.

    starcraft psycho kid.

  • hahahaha

    you should be a comedian

  • They'll have earned more money by their 30s than you will in your lifetime :(

  • well, if thats what u THINK... ur oppinion dude.

some few selected "stars" surely do. they earn money, normal people would earn in 10 years, but only in their short-lived time of fame and success. also those normal people create something of use not just some imaginary thrill.

guess who s got the upper hand by 40? 50? 60? XD

  • @stevenc1 Thats probably true, but you know how hard it is to actually become number one in Korea? Oh jeez >.>

  • actually, no. they all get their high school diplomas. also some do college. but even without any diploma, they make over $300,000 a year while an engineer in korea makes around 30,000. life in korea is cheaper than here. in a few years these guys are millionaires. living in korea is about $15,000 a year i believe so they dont have to do anything afterwords except enjoy their money.
