What a great video, its such a shame that the introduction of UT3 seemed to lose a lot of the 'majority u2004' community, as it was simply not as enjoyable or competitive (dirty skins!). I still play ut2004 7 years on every now and again when i have the time :D

I started playing 2k4 about half a year ago. That's how I got into the series. Then i decided to try UT3 as well, to compare. Both are very, very good, but I've always fallen in love with the more classic games. Therefore 2k4 is better in my opinion. Honor to the pro's of this great game

@9Xon Oh god not this again, the argument has gone on many times. Unreal Tournament '99 came out at the same time as Quake 3, popular maps from each got ported to the other. This is UT2004, UT2003 was basically Quake though. People didn't like UT being quake so they released a new version that was closer to the originals style.

@Grawtah you can say its harder, but it all comes down to preference. for CoD and CS type games its more about realism and modern type battles with terrorists, whereas in UT and Quake its sci-fi gore fast paced action that appeals to a totally different audience of players, but yeah i'll agree that UT can be hard to master

I have been gaming for decades and I noticed when Sony entered the market gaming became more acceptable (gaming became 'cool'). Thus the "pure casual gamer" was born.

Which is great getting more people into gaming but the downside is these people who have jumped on the bandwagon and not interest in the past and follow "hype", "keeping up with the Jones" etc which results in them forming an opinion that e.g. MW1, Halo are bench mark fps games!

Unreal Tournament is far from dead!

There are still thousands of people playing UT 99 and UT2004. The only dead Unreal Tournament game is 2003 (It never really spun off too well after 2004 came out)
