I would really like to learn those hybrid licks you play so fluid and so well. Right now I just do basic scale solos and it's harsd to find someone local to show me this style.
I started with Albert Lee Star Licks audio tape. Had the tape for a couple years before I finally got the idea of using the pick and fingers. I later dropped the pick all together because I liked the tone and feel better. There are a lot of stuff to learn from but anything from Albert Lee, Brent Mason and Johnny Hiland would certainly help.....good luck!
Me again. A couple or doubts before ordering one of these.... How about the MM silent circuit feature? Does it really makes a difference? ..... As far as I can see you got the one with the tremolo, isn't it? Is it smooth? Does it stays in tune? Many thanks!!!!
@itofranco I think the silent circuit works really good. You still have some noise but it is very slight......I'd say cuts about 80% of the noise. I would have this on all my guitars. Haven't used the trem at all so I'm not sure how smooth or how well it stays in tune. I have it locked down so it will not move. I prefer hardtails but got this one used and couldn't pass it up. One thing to mention also is the compensated nut. Works really well and the intonation is so much better!
@itofranco I have the three single coil model with the tremolo. It stays in tune amazingly well and sounds even better:) The bar has a great feel to it, and is very smooth. Hope this helps a little:)
Amazing finger picking technique! My congrats. Just wondering... which Albert Lee do you like the most? The traditional one or this beauty with P90's? I've been looking forward for some time to buy a guitar with soapbars and I have to tell you... your clip caught my atention and I'm seriously considering this instrument. Many thanks and keep rockin' !!!!
Thanks for taking the time to watch. I like both Albert Lee guitars and would have a hard time picking one over the other. The MM90 pickups are not like P90 pickups though. So if you are looking for that traditional P90 sound I would play the MM90 first before making your decision. Both my Albert Lee guitars sound a lot alike with the MM90s offering a bit more volume and "beef"......hope this helps!
For this clip just the Electra Dyne and the guitar plugged straight in. The first part is the amp in hi mode. I the switch to lo and then to clean......thanks for watching!

Where would you recommend I start?
Do you have an instructional video for sale?

Excellent tone and playing! I've got a SSS Albert Lee and I thought it sounded good, and then I hear the MM90!
Wonderful demo! Best, T
