  • Just AMAZING

  • THESE DRAWINGS ARE AWESOME AND THEY TAKE U TO ANOTHER WORLD. THEY ARE SO BEAUTIFUL.

  • EPIC fucking WOW

  • man this man has the touch of gods to draw :) love it I draw too and he is my inspiration

  • I had a book with all Boris Vallejo pics back in 1990-91 and I use to get High and look at them and be transported to another world.

  • What is the name of the first song that is played?

  • i just want to say LOVE THE PIC the best work ever done even in ths day of age

  • you can tell boris definitely appreciates women with curves...his work is stunningly beautiful

  • @tauro2

The dated seventies/eighties hairstyles on some of the chicks detracts from the fantasy effect somewhat.

Boris always worked from real models, as opposed to Frank Frazetta, who had his somewhat bizarrely proportioned, strangely-featured ideal woman in his head.

  • @pinz2022.. I will have to check out this Frank Frazetta's work, I've never seen it. The only reason I know of Boris' work is because a friend showed me some of it and I thought it was really beautiful.

  • @tauro2

Just google Frazetta, there's a good comprehensive image gallery that will pop up on the first page. Do the same for Boris. He and Julie have a great website.

  • THANK YOU FOR DOING THIS VIDEO!!! BUT CORRECT ME IF I'M WRONG BUT WERE'NT SOME OF THEM PICS DONE BY BORIS AND THAT LADY (CAN'T REMEMBER HER NAME RIGHT NOW) ? EITHER WAY TO ME IT'S SOME OF THE BEST ART I'VE EVER SEEN

  • @brnmcconaha his wife, Julie Bell

  • Boris Vallejo went to the limits with art and mythology, mythical dreams of the ages.

  • about 1 week to finish one of this pictures ??

  • what is the name of the sort of art he does?

  • @Thunderdome616 it's usually referred to as Fantasy art or fantasy illustration

  • grande!

  • placed into my playlist of Boris Vallejo, thanks

  • @ Unloved Sage - So he takes photos of all those monsters and traces them does he? You're an idiot

  • is that true? i've never heard that.

  • No, not true. They use models like every fantasy illustrator, but they aren't "tracing" anything. The photos they work from aren't even color! The envious here just can't understand how two masters can reproduce such realism WITHOUT trickery, so they make up nonsense to justify their own inadequacies.

  • You guys do realize he takes a photo and traces it right? so its not real artwork. Its proven too.

  • What nonsense. I know him personally. He takes reference photos like nearly EVERY professional illustrator working today. He turns them into black and white or sepia images and uses them as reference, JUST as every old master used a model as reference. And all the fantasy elements? Those come right out of his head! I've watched him do figure drawings from live models and I can assure you; there are almost no artists alive today that have Boris and Julie's deep understanding of human anatomy.

  • you do realize you aren't an artist, and have no idea what you're talking about, right? k, just wanted to make sure.

  • how the hell do you know what I am? It doesn't require being famous, or having a degree to be an artist. It means have a passion for art and creating things. And I do happen to know what I'm talking about. Maybe its you who should see and make sure you know what your talking about. Artist or no, this is a fake. He takes a picture and projects it and traces them. So think before you type

  • @UnlovedSage fake? hardly. using a projector does not make one fake. people used to say that buying your paint pre-mixed was cheating or fake and only REAL artists ground their own pigment and mixed their own paints.

    so.. whatever.

but if you think its still fake, then you should be able to project an image onto the wall trace it and it would come out looking exactly like his... right?

  • @UnlovedSage Lenoardo Davinci invented the camera obscuro and major artists have been tracing ever since. Artists like Canaletto, Caravaggio, Ruebens, David, Corbet, Manet...etc. It's just another tool and method. Tracing alone does make one an artist or not an artist; anymore than owning a camera makes one a Photographer. There is a little more to it than that.

  • perfect...

  • Sooo! lame and kitch yet so beautiful! I could watch all day!

  • This paintings looks like mythological, they are so beautiful and magic.

  • Boris geht in die Kunstgeschichte ein !Ein erstklassiger Künstler!

  • Artistically, it's a kitschy pop-art. Technically, it's well done job. Psychologically, it's rather funny. Erotically...beautiful bodies ;-)
