United is a joke nowadays: their attendants are surly, they make it a big deal to give their first-class passengers a smile and let them walk across a red Cintas floormat, while the remaining passengers get a cold glance. They also expressly forbid filming aboard their planes at any time.
Oh...and they also break guitars. Their arrogance and false perception of infallibility cost them my business and will eventually shut them down. It happened to PanAm...
Too bad United management never really believed in this beautifully made commercial, nor the concept of employees being their most important assets. Instead they raped and pillaged the airline's coffers, destroyed employee morale at this once proud airline and disappointed their loyal customers.
United was an amazing institution unfortunately saddled with the worst inept and greedy upper management. The ugly results speak for itself!

It is too bad that our management has been what they have, But i will say this as a second gen employee myself, United's -strength- is still and always Will be its employees, I'm still proud to work for United just not most of the management And always will be. I think that there needs to be a reform in the airline industry. And it needs to have Customer service as its top priority in return the customer has to act like an adult because some adults act like 5 year olds when their flight is canceled or when they cant be upgraded, etc.
My Grandmother was an original United Airlines "Hundred Thousdand Miler". That was back when all they recieved was a carved wooden plack. Back then there were no "upgrades" as everything was already first class. I have always been a United Airlines customer, and have never, in 50 years of flying had a bad experience with United Airlines or any of it's employees. Ground stops at airports, and delays because of weather do NOT count. Trust me, Chicago is bad to everyone! United is MY airline.
@scubawrestler Its so nice and refreshing to hear good things coming from such a loyal customer. I worked for United for 9 years out of high school. I was so in love with United. I was very proud to have had 9 years with them. I have been gone from United for 7 years and i miss it terribly. But I am a loyal customer still :)
It is kind of funny because when it showed that bus driving by (London Double Decker), there was as OASIS Hong Kong Airlines (defunct) advertisment on it.
